Due to the extent (and expectations) of my mods. I had already planned to get a custom tune so i'll just let my tuner deal with it.

Easy solution for you which is great. Although, I hope you have the right tuner because I can only think of one that has access to the right tables.

I got a few buddies modded extensively as well and we all self tune. I am sure we will share how to do the changes if we figure it out and that will make this modification more useful for the n55 e series.

Not a high priority right now for me though. This was more of a want, and my stock original coil packs with 55k+ miles at 600whp are doing just fine.

Yes I did, their response was the same " the stock N/S55 coils can support up to 600 and the PR coils are for power levels exceeding that" , I tried pressing the issue to understand the thinking better but they soon became offended and told me I was being rude! sorta like "who is this nobody questioning the GREAT MHD!!!" I can post the e mails if you guys wanna see.
i checked this. and its true what mhd said. at this time and near future a b58 coil support for n55 dont will come. pr/stock is enough for this power level

How do you or MHD know what power level I'm going for or if the PR coils can even fit with my set up?

I actually have a PR kit and I know that it can't work here.. I will also be running a 2 stage water injection system , stage 1 is a single nozzle in the charge pipe and stage 2 will be 6 port injection nozzles at higher boost for detonation control TOGETHER with whatever ethanol blend I feel like! I'm quit sure the stock coils wouldn't be able to cope with it.

I hate my PR coils. I have been fighting misfires with them for three years. The problem with them is the boots. I get carbon lightning strikes on the side of the insulation of the plugs with them. To mitigate the issue I coat the plugs in dielectric grease but that only lasts so long. I will attach an example pic

So I will be switching to B58's after this season.

Hey guys, I get some timing corrections on RON100 fuel and HP650 @ 23PSI. Do you think these might make the things better?

At this point I am seriously considering switching over to ECUTEK!.....all the access to all the tables and all the tuning assistance ill need.

If we all ask MHD to add the b-58 coil option maybe they will get tired of it & give in to shut us up.😁 I'm gonna go bug them right now. I already have the coils & plugs just waiting for the plate.

I also contacted MHD and asked if they would consider adding the b58 dwell time. Hopefully if enough requests come in……..now I am just waiting these kits to materialise.

Might be a stupid question but are we supposed to transfer something from the stock short boots over to the new longer boots in the kit?

I believe mine came with the new boots and springs.and connector kit .Mine was also for the N54 with VTT billet valve cover as for the other versions I cannot say.

We expect to start taking orders for the N55 kit in 2-3 weeks. B58 coil option is in the MHD N54 app version 2.22. @jimip I'll check that order tomorrow morning and get back to you!
Any update for the n55 kit? We're you able to send MHD the data they need?
