I've been attempting to fit B58 or N63TU3 coils onto my 2013 F02. I 3D printed some bits to have the coils fit as a friction fit in the valve covers since the coils themselves have nothing to actually bolt to. (And holy sh*t as I type this I'm realizing that this may be the main cause to my issue...? Is the mounting hole used as a ground for these things? Do they need to be bolted in?)

I managed to make them all fit, however, I was having a ton of misfiring issues. I don't know if this was a physical contact issue with the spark plugs or if this was possibly a dwell setting in the tune, but from my understanding, I don't see that actually being an issue since the B58 coils should output more energy for the same dwell time as the stock pencil coils, but I'm still new to tuning on these platforms. I just don't know.

I've yet to try this again with a stock tune, but with my OTS BM3 stage 2 tune, it really doesn't like it. And because of the lower popularity for this platform, BM3 and others don't have the same option toggle for B58 coils like they would for N55 cars. I'm curious what that actually changes...

I've got three things to figure out. Was it a physical connection issue to the spark plugs that my friction fit setup caused? Was it an issue with not bolting the coils in and therefore missing a ground? What other settings besides dwell time could I have missed within the tune that could cause such an issue?

I'm currently working on another design to mount the coils in a different way, and I'm going to ground the mounting hole to the heads as well just in case on this second attempt.
