Thanks for the info. That 4L80E transmission would certainly make the difference in getting great times down the strip. I looked into doing the same but over here in Australia it was going to cost close to $20,000 which is more than the car is worth so I gave it a miss. A TH400 would be cheaper and work the same on the strip but it wouldn't be much fun driving on the street.

A lot of work was put into getting that car into the 10's, I was one of many who were rooting for him each time he'd go to the strip! It was the beginning of the Single Turbo era IIRC.
He wasn't well liked from what I can remember but definitely helped shape the community into what it is today.

Last Wed effort at the Motorplex. Was mostly running 2.0s on the AD08s at road pressure and low/mid 11s (wheel spin city 2nd and 3rd) . So decided drop to cold 26psi, rip large line lock burnout and the hurt the stall in staging. Stage early , spin it up so the tyres turn and quickly back it off before leaving on green.(checking log it was about 2k and 5 psi). Yokos werent the same afterwards the next run was err. dangerous sideways action (I took a pic of both slips together , you can see I just couldnt get on the throttle) As a tip for others, semi comp track rubber likes heat but you may only get one extreme heat cycle, burnout wise? (Admittedly the tyres tho' good tread are 3 or more years old too) Driving home they dont feel the same, so i may have paid a high price for the time. Still got the 10. No broken axles (thanks mfactory) no broken trans(thanks Nizpro)

Do you have the nizpro billet internals as well as the exedy clutches? You must have one of 5 or so niz pro transmission kits that were ever made based on the info I got.

Yes the trans is a full Nizpro built Auto , with a custom trans cooler.
