For Stage 2 the D-Mode is a big improvement to alpina sw.
But i noticed, that on low throttle from 0 mph/kmh the tcc is opened again too long like on alpina (100 degrees celsius oil temp).
Here is a video:

Could you take a log with Testo? I will tell you what parameters. I wasn't able to get that behaviour here.

EDIT: Forget it. I did a few small changes, which might have caused that again. Please go to your Smartphones Settings -> Apps -> XHP and hit "Delete Data" + "Delete Cache". Then go to the xHP Misc menu in the sidebar and hit "Re-Download OTS Maps" and flash again.

Ok so my feedback about stage 1 with stock throttle maps in the DME :
D mode is approx. the same than alpina D mode.

It is the same on upshift and thats intentional. Alpina did a good job on it as a Comfort Mode. Some still like it and want to retain it. Will have a look on the downshifts though.

Ok, done. Thx.
Will do a reflash in an hour.
Map version is still V1.0. I guess that's ok?

so I tried stage 2 again with a ots e60 tune with Mt checked and drove for a while and I'm still not impressed, and again in M mode the paddles just don't feel connected to the car. Its slightly better than stock in M mode. D mode the stock flash is alot better

Yes, I didn't update the version number.

As what you're saying is kind of the opposite the rest is saying, there must be something going wrong. Please send me the Apps logfiles through e-mail as a first step.

Few comments about stage 2:
D mode is definitely better, the best I've tried so far.
S mode looks good too, not much different than S mode from stage 1, which is great.
M mode upshifts at WOT at 6500 are firm, really firm, maybe too firm ?

Wonder if the firmness is related to the adaptation comment he made earlier? How much power is your car putting out?

Hard to say from a distance. :D When I was doing the maps they were not really "harder" then Alpina. Just slightly quicker and different in feeling but not harder. I'd drive the car around for some time and see if things smooth out. Adaptions can trick things sometimes, when changing calibrations quickly.

I looked through the manual and don't see a how to on that.

upshifts are faster than with alpina B3 flash in M mode for sure, even my timing curves recover faster than previously postshift.

currently around 450 whp.

I target 430 ft.lbs in the flash right before the upshift, torque is at 390 ft.lbs postshift, but for any reason, I can't target higher torque without getting torque limiter 's induced timing correction...

I sent my comments to Clemens but here they are:

- I am not yet convinced that the shifts are faster or the paddle response is better with the Stage 2 or Stage 3 flash (I have not tried stage 1). I think I would need to see concrete data before really believing this is better/faster. My baseline comparison is the Alpina B3 flash

- My car automatically upshifted in from 1st -> 2nd with the Stage 3 flash. It won't upshift as advertised from 2nd --> 3rd.

- D mode is much better in Stage 2 and 3 flash

- FAQ section needs a bit of editing to be more clear

- Long flash, so battery charger is almost a necessity.

If this flash helps the higher TQ/HP cars with a slipping transmission I think that is where the real value will be. 50% improvement in shift speed and paddle response sounds impressive, but a 50% improvement in something measured on the order of milliseconds is very difficult to perceive.

My Car:
2007 E90 335i with 135k miles
MHD Stage 2+ tune (changed to manual flash as requested in the FAQ section)

Looks like there was the problem. So far I couldn't reproduce it.

As said, theres another problem in your case, we have to track. Trebila even has come up with Data now, to support what people are feeling.

Yeah...i was a little cautios and didn't activate it in 1st gear for now. The chance of something bad happening is much higher in 1st gear.

- FAQ section needs a bit of editing to be more clear

Please elaborate.

I can't target higher torque without getting torque limiter 's induced timing correction...

Do you think that is induced by the transmission? We could overlay the Data with the TQ request data from the trans on CAN. Do you use MHD or Testo for logging? With Testo you could log the TQ data the transmission is receiving and sending.

I'm logging with jb4.
Not sure it's DME flash related as exact same IJE0S tune on a DCT/DKG will build much higher torque, flawlessly, up to 570 ft.lbs flatelining the whole rpm range, with absolutely no torque limiter related timing correction.
Have you reverse engineered others torque limiters throught the tcu flash?

Should be working, yes.

There are additional TQ Limiters during shift, but they are set to very high values in stock and don't cause any problems on the Diesels, even with 650 ftlbs. So I didn't pay attention to them at all, but in that case I'll have a closer look.
