We've had a 2015 mustang at my shop for the past 2 years making a twin turbo kit and all the supporting mods to make 1500whp+, the car only has 30 miles on it and the dude has never driven it but it will be nearing completion in the bext couple of weeks, so i can only imagine the pain you're feeling. But congrats on finally being able to drive it and hopefully it gets into the 9's. I've been following this build for a very long time.

Should post some info about it in our ford section :)

Sadly, projects like this that break new ground often take a lot longer than anyone anticipates. I have been following your build since you started and it reminds me of a build that HPF was doing for another guy like you. They had the car forever and used it as a mule to design and test all sorts of 3-series parts for their catalog. I think he got the car back just before they closed their doors and I do not recall if it was 100% finished.

Personally, as nice as your car is, and as good of a deal as you hopefully get, I would not have the patience to do something like that. I honestly mean no disrespect to you, or your build, (I am not a vendor of any sort and do not have a dog in this fight) but a lot of development work has been done outside of CPE while your build has been in progress. What was being done to your car was cutting edge when you started, but took so long to complete that other have had their products available to the consumers for a while now. While you car was being built, single turbos went from their infancy on the N54 platform to having multiple vendors develop various complete kits. VTT developed their cast exhaust manifold and their GC line of Turbos that generally cover anything that a stock N54 can do and beyond. They also have something that I believe to be similar to what CPE build for you in their Stage 3 VTR and VTX-R lines. I am not saying that these products are better than what you will end up with, but it would be amazing for your build to surpass products that have been refined over time and are several revisions into their development.

I wish you well and hope that you build surpasses your expectations.

I agree. Awesome build! But at what point do you do say...... money vs a 10 year old car that is getting way outside of being relevant. I can only hope you can afford to lose it.

Thanks brother, I do understand that and as I said it was multiple circumstances that made this take so long. Some on me some on CPE some on financial constraints, and just balancing to many projects at once. as for the 10 year old car comment. ever seen this thing called a toyota supra? 1994 made vehicle and people regularly drop 100 grand into it over a period of 6 years lol.

Try to answer this all as well as I can assuming some is pats on the back and some appears to be subtle stabs at this. The car wasnt built to not race. Yes the block will be built eventually. This is FAR from installing a turbo kit.. come on man thats just plain mean. I will address a few things, this kit has NEVER been on a car. I was the fitment test for the majority of components, also no one. NO ONE, casts anything. Fabbing something is one thing but having casts 3D printed and then forged and then tooled, rinse wash repeat is quite expensive and slow process. now addressing the Mazda thing they openly claim something over 45% of their business came from Mazda, now they are around 30% (http://www.cp-e.com/company.html) with only 15% coming from BMW you can see whey their focus has been elsewhere. ALSO I changed this build a lot, added and increased the scope of it. Yeah if I had 20K just drop in an engine I could have them drop everything and just do BMW stuff, but you got to keep the machines turning. Also 2 world records were set durring this build on other platforms they have. Yeah they take a while but it isnt for nothing. I hope nothing bad happens to the engine or transmission hints why I supported it the way that I have thus far. But you got to pay to play man everyone knows that. This build is FAR from typical brother, it wasnt built to sit on a dyno one time. I will continue to push the envelope. Also "simple" turbo kit is an insult, theres over 150 individual parts in this "kit". smh, I hope this wasnt all a stab. This build started when people were still figuring out how to fuel the car, how to cool the IAT, how to make boost.... learning has occurred and hind sight is 20/20.

Cheers brother, Thank you for the kind words though. I have to address the velvet daggers however.

i honestly wouldn't take anything i said as stabs. it's just simple knowledge i have of the company because well, i was around when the company first started. The Mazda thing wasn't meant to be a stab. moreso a funny piece of direct info that most people don't know.

Also, the only reason i mentioned the time it has taken, is because that is a common thing with CPE taking very long to do things. In the end this IS a fairly simple turbo kit. Outside the manifolds being Cast rather than fabbed via welding and bends. Its a simple turbo kit. Not a stab, its fact. Yes Cast parts take a little longer to do, absolutely, 100% agree there. There are several companies with cast options also.

Again, this is a great looking build, great looking kit, as I stated prior. I just feel it honestly took wayyyy too long for what it is. Just an opinion. no stabs, none needed as i like this build and have followed it and will continue to do so. The rest of what i said was helpful information for you to keep the engine together until you get around to building it. either way, keep it going. finish it as many people including myself have been waiting for this to show up and show out!!!

I appreciate the clarification brother, absolutely has taken a long time. But there are more than a few reasons why. It is a turbo kit (unlike anyone else's) but that also wasn't the only thing done to this car, I understand where you are coming from now. Again you didn't have to but thank you for your clarification.

Ill have to talk to the customer, i know he grudge races in New York. The shop is Evolution Performance. If you follow mustang drag racing we have many records/firsts for the mustang platform. We also built "devils reject" a single turbo 2000whp gt500 that regularly runs 7.5's in the 1/4". Also i cant seem to find the Ford section?

This car sounds sounds sexy at idle. Want to hear it screaming

Thank you very much! I am SO anxious to hear this thing under load. Tomorrow we are trying to get to completing the meth system and onto wiring up the AEM for the port fueling integration and then its tuning time! exciting days

As promised some more build pictures...

Basically this vehicle has undergone a complete transformation. It is built to perform not only sitting on a dyno, but in speed and agility. More often in auto tuning people will strap a massive turbo and then forget about all the details; to me I equate that to going to the gym and getting a 350lb bench press but never doing anything except chest. I have worked hard on a restricted budget to push everything on this platform and I still have a few things under wraps (will be revealed as soon as they are done) but That is what community is about. This is my passion and I am glad to have you guys to share it with.

and to the pix. Again, ask me anything if you have specific questions and I would be happy to help answer.

Is that a defiv lockdown plate? What cooler do you have on the front, I assume that is engine oil with trans cooler on driver side? Do you have anything on the passenger side? Which blockoff plate is that?
