Thought id throw in my 2 cents.

Did a manual swap on my 335d and decided to use the uniclutch track with a smf. Can confirm it chatters, loud enough to hear it through the centre console. Have to raise the idle rpm to 850 to quiet it down a bit. Sounds like a semi truck at low rpm.

I think it will be quieter with a n54 but i dont think it will get rid of it completely.

Awesome feedback

Would definitely be quieter with a N54. As an owner of both M57 and N54 engines the M57 is definitely orders of magnitude worse in terms of chop chop chop.

Too many burnouts. Bye bye factory clutch. Just ordered a clutch and MFactory SMFW. Should be in by the end of the month, I'll get videos of the chatter, but with any luck it will be like this supra.

Update : Around 530hp mainline hub or 600hp on dyno jet you will get false knock and missfires on a oem dmfw. If you are under 500hp its ok.

You need a single mass over 530hp is what I found

I just upgraded my turbos. Currently working with tuner. Should be 550+wtq/hp once done. I know my 335is/550i clutch will start to slip as we turn up power, so I am planning ahead. My DMFW is definitely fried, making all sorts of noise for the last year or so.

As such I plan to go SMFW (steel) with UniClutch

A few questions:
What SMFW did you go with?
I am thinking Turner or Mfactory.... priced about the same, similar weight.

Since the Uniclutch (all dual plates) dont rely on the flywheels friction surface, could you use an old/used (not resurfaced) SMFW, bringing price way down?

The PN you listed "UC0821200" is for their "track" clutch. I couldnt find any options for their "sport" clutch on their website..... is "track" the only available option for our chassis?
Or since the "track" is only ~$100 more for 300 ft lbs than the "sport", with the "same pedal feel"..... no one bothers with the "sport"

Not a lot of info on these guys (new to market), the simple response of "google it" doesnt seem to work with this setup...... I appreciate your help!

I went with mfactory since I have one of their differentials and it’s been great. Turner customer support is absolute horse shit in my experience so I’d never buy something as important as a flywheel from them personally.

I also reached out to UniClutch before I ordered and they don’t recommend anything other than the track clutch for these cars due to the torque produced. They still drive almost the same. Watch the video I linked in my last comment. The guys Supra has a single mass flywheel and the UniClutch track.

The ‘google it’ response isn’t really common here. Spool street hasn’t been infested with snobs yet thankfully
