In that log the lpfp line looks good

I would drill out the di rail first and change the battery but I think the battery won't do much as your car will be running of your alternator at full throttle

I was looking at the logs you provided and the lpfp was previously dropping into the 50s and liw 60s.

Do the fuel rail mod if the battery change doesn't work.

You might need a double barrel

The small filter in the hpfp is restriction, remove it and install a bigger fuel filter instead of it. I wouldn’t dare to run it without a filter, even there are other filters in the system.

Well you already have a huge filter in t he tank, didn't see the need for it.

I run an external one in my 1m and after two years its still like new

Its a choice
So, did you have any issues with injectors during this time? You using any fuel system or injector cleaners?

It's not a choice, it's a requirement like Jern54 stated. The filter in the tank is not of the same quality/size (micron) as the filter in the hpfp. Particles can still get past that and clog up your injectors. It wasn't much but there was deff some stuff in the hpfp filter when i took it out.
Best idea is to run a a 10 micron filter like Spool offers as it's plug and play. If you also have an ethanol sensor or want to install one later on, i suggest you don't buy that kit but build your own custom fuel line all the way from the tank with a bigger diameter hose and buy a seperate 10micron filter to place in-line.

This is a nice and proper way of doing things and a good insurance policy. I may go this route in the future. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with the fuel line mod and drilling the rail. Will need to research.

Removing the HPFP filter and drilling the rail is the old VTT hack that they used to charge customers for.

You should 100% add an inline filter before the fuel rail when you remove the stock filter. Given the cost of a proper filter, not running one is stupid. BMW put one there for a reason and you can buy one for $25 bucks.

On my meth setup I have 100um before pump, 100um after pump, and a 30um before I inject. When I go DPM I will switch or add a 10um inline at the end. Last thing I want is a clogged nozzle when I am relying on the meth for fuel.

Filters are cheap, injectors and engines are not. Worst case scenario you at wot at 7k, injector clogs because you were too cheap to run a filter, cylinder goes instantly super lean and bye bye engine.

As I said you can run a filter but havent been running one and had no problem at all.

I'm not saying you shouldnt run one, i'm just choosing not to.

I use injector cleaner every 5k wether I run one or not but I've been doing that for years

The more difficult to install double barrel keeps theb casual enthusiast away so those that do it are more inclined to accept risks.

I fear the easier install of the helix will have us seeing more of this on unprepared enthusiasts. Everyone's N54 is at or over 150k miles. This won't be limited to the 4x I don't think.
