Yes, certainly that statement is not all inclusive. Less room does mean less options, generally speaking. Getting it to fit, and work, is a testament to the amount of effort that went into this ACF kit.
are you talking about the speedtech kit here? After reading, I'm not terribly interested in the BW EFR, think Garrett is the way to go, but if their N55 kits feature an EFR option, why don't you think they will do the same with the N54?
Yup I got similar reply, in addition, the manifold for the the N54 will be similar to their N55 version.
My Speedtech stg 3 with EFR8374 makes 11.5@122mph at 15psi of boost with Dragy. I am dialing every weekend
EFRs are good turbos, one of the best in transient response, areas under the curve, but vs gtx they shine in in higher pressure ratios. Between 20-30psi garrett is more efficient.
Btw. Speedtech st. 3 looks great. I want similar manifold for n54 so much...

I might be wrong, since I am not very familiar with the N55's JB4 datalog. But from speedtech's own dyno, it looks like they are suffering from boost creep with these IWG EFR turbos.

Same problem jad CES motorsport with 8374efr.

Well I am glad it doesn't. But speedtech should update its dyno log to show that.
Hi guys, we haven't had any boost creep issues. I should probably post an updated log, as the one shown above was an early run (beta bm3 flash testing), and for that run, was limited to the 12psi max JB4 offset over DME_BT, so if you follow the gray line (dme_bt), it is exactly 12psi lower than actual boost, so as the dme target increases, the JB4 lets boost increase also, so it ramped from around 17 to 24 on that run. We've run the EFR's anywhere from stock boost to 30psi. I recently setup an EFR7670 on our 2011 335xi, and had run it on stock flash/boost for a few days... while super boring, it does fine holding down to 5psi if need be. If anyone cares to see a graph of an EFR on stock dme boost, I can sure post up something, but kinda figured anyone looking at getting one of these kits could care less about stock boost.

Picked a turbo kit! I ordered a VI Engineered top mount kit with a Garret GTX 3584RS turbo with a divided T4, and 1.01 A/R. Jon also was able to customize the downpipe a bit to a 3.5 inch downpipe with single discharge (no "V" split to mate to stock exhaust). I'll be having a custom 3.5 inch exhaust made once I have the kit installed.
I'm going to have all the hot parts coated by Swaintech.
Hopefully with this kit + Syvecs I can make some decent power. I think early 2019 I'll probably looking for a built motor and head!!

On a built motor you might be able to get 900whp but its more then enough for stock motor duty. Furthermore you don't have to worry about running that turbo to absolute limit
