Honestly, it sounds like he's not aware of the ramifications of taking money without delivery. This has been an ongoing issue, I'm not one to speak, as I can't even run a kit like this, but to hand over money for a IOU,not to be in communication with one, is just absurd and should be brought up on charges. I'm mean Christ, hire a freakin fabricator already! There should be a 90 window given the fact that there is fabrication, and a written contract seeing that you are contracting him to build for you. If the contract is not fulfilled, or an agreement has not been meet by both parties, then legal action is deemed!

He contacted me last week, said my kit was near completion and that it SHOULD go out this coming week...That's probaly 8-10 times I've been given the same song and dance...I'm trying to avoid taking any legal action because its probaly more hassle than what I have time for, but i'm beginning to think I may not have any other choice...

This has been beaten to death on facebook, but I'll say my piece here.

The youwish kit was being relentlessly promoted by both Travis Heussman and AJ @ EMP tuning when it was in development stages. One tester got tired of their games trying to make the kit work, demanded his car back, and they finally got the kit working on Jayne Moffat's gray e92 after a lengthy delay.

Travis went around shamelessly self promoting hyping the hell out of his kit that didn't exist past development stages at the time. AJ did the same. They way oversold the production capabilities of Travis's one man show and now are relying on alternate forms of payment or paypal payments over 180 days old so people can't do chargebacks and have no recourse with the money paid to them.

Oh and there was the whole #bananaflange debacle where a kit was shipped AFTER ceramic coating with a visibly bent head flange. So it wasn't a case of missed during one inspection, it was a case of multiple opportunities to correct the error but "fuck it, good enough, ship it".

TL;DR questionable kit way overhyped by a questionable fabricator and even more questionable tuner. stay FAR AWAY.

If I were you I would go ahead and get in contact with a lawyer if not only for the sake of teaching this idiot a lesson. Likely lawyer fees and court fees will exceed the cost you paid for the items. You may be able to go through a small claims court if you can present enough supporting evidence for your side of the case.

I was the one who got my car back from Travis shop when he his shop was by 595 and SR 84 . I got tired of his games , he switched the story up so many times . For one AJ feed him somebullshit about not testing my car because it was an auto and not manual . Travis new from the beginning my car was an auto and really did not care , he just wanted my car to “ mock up “ “ create N54 “ kits which I agreed huge mistake . He stopped answering my calls , oh and the exhaust system “ the kraken “ has on his car , “ was actually made on my car “ when I got my car back , he took the exhaust off , now that’s why you see pussy kraken with my exhaust system !! So yes when I got my car back , some girl “ Jane “ got his kit on her car and wow let me tell you some heavy testing they did on her car “ bullshit “ shit her car only made 633 WHP crap !!! So the bullshit and lies both of these individuals say are beyond words . I am glad someone broke the Krakens WHP record , they ain’t shit no more !!!! Travis and AJ are full of shit , and I would say it to there face !!! Pussys

When you're a new adopter of untested hardware, you really need to watch every step of the way and have your red lines drawn in your head. Are you fully committed, or is there a time limit you will not compromise on? If they start to fall short on those lines you have to cut your losses or you risk a spiral where you become invested over your head. Never gift money to the new guy, never compromise your red lines because somebody is a smooth talker or there's a bandwagon of followers who don't even have anything invested. Saving a grand can end up costing you much more if you're not smart about it.

I've been a mule before, but only for a company that had a track record of some sort and never for anything serious. I can't remember how many times I've read that turning sour. Regardless, this is a shitty deal.

My question is this...where the fuck do people hear about these companies in the first place? I keep hearing about these awful companies, but its not from here... Unless its a bad review lol

Except I control one of the largest n54 related groups, N5X Enthusiasts with over 12k members. It does not appear there.

I was talking about the junks on facebook, instagram!

The said, car forums have been around since the 90s, probably the earliest form of social media platforms.

Yeah, but who on Instagram continues to perpetuate this? Where did it start from? There is always a source or beginning.

To be fair. I don't think EMP has anything to do with YouWish or their promotion. They may not even be aware of their existance.

But... The type of person who is dooped by EMP would also be easily taken in by YouWish.

I learned of Travis by fb...He had a post on a DSM classified page...I've been in contact with him but still no results...This July will make 2 years since I started sending him $$ for my kit...I've modified cars off and on for close to 20 years now and I've been EXTREMELY lucky to have never been ripped off, so I kind of take it with a grain of salt...I've already paid close to $2k for another setup that I should have within a months time...I'll sell the "you wish" stuff if/when I ever get it...I know now to be even more careful than I have in the past...
