They apparently rarely check mail. For two weeks I was waiting for an answer to the question with what moment to tighten the bolts.I changed the o-ring to a new one during installation.Interesting, last week I lost half a quart of oil when i went on a 75 mile trip, found a puddle of oil on the ground. Popped the hood and saw oil right under and around the 3x Helix and hpfp. I deassembled everything and found the o-ring that goes on the Helix has failed. Bought a new one, reassembled and all is good.
I contacted spool on Monday through email but haven't got a response. Already put 15k miles on with the Helix assembly.

So is the problem that the oring is of low quality, or that it's the wrong size?
Ajay escaped?)))) The virus?)))))When's the last time anyone in this thread has heard from Ajay?
about oil and vacuum pump chain tensioner fail - where is the information from ???When's the last time anyone in this thread has heard from Ajay?

I would like to know more ... It seems so far no one has broken the chain....Supposedly, it was posted in a FB group but no real proof could be provided which is why I deleted my comment in this thread. I also considered my source of the information. I'm not going to say who it was because it will only cause a bunch of unwanted e-drama. If anyone can speak to it in here, fine so be it, but this is as far as I'm going with it.

That's the broblem with vibrations they always find the weakest link in the equation.
They need to fix the source of the vibration than trying to put band aids on it.
Almost jumped the gun on buying one of these for one of our conversions, glad I waited.
I really hope they find a solution to this, its definitely needed.
Yeah I'm actually just going to leave mine off and go back to what I have been running for almost 10 years. I had taken it off to address an oil leak but as you can see from my earlier post, it looks like engine oil has contaminated the grease and is oozing out of the seal. I'm wondering these things are running dry after a few thousand miles (possibly seizing as well), increasing the load on the oil/vacuum pump chain and that coupled with the vibration is what's causing the bolts to fail.
The kid who snapped the bolt was running the very first beta set. Let him come out and say we didn’t explain beta to him. And he sold the unit to someone else after that. It was a 4x and it is not released. This is exactly why we’re running extended beta phase for them. To see results in the wild under long periods of abuse. Every 4x out there is sold with full disclosure it is in beta. We’ve looked into the possibility of the accessory chain (not the timing chain) failing. On dct and manual cars, the jerk forces on the crank are much higher than regular autos. We’re definitely testing the 4x more on the dcts and manuals before it will see green light for release for sureI think its a smart idea and wait for the final solution.
I wish somebody adapted the Porsche six piston pump to our cars and made it work without overdriving it, I know the pump is super expensive but I would
definitely invest in that no matter the cost within reason.
Thanks ! but there is a 4 * option.I sorted out a motor a year ago, found one bolt from an oil pump cut off in a sump ... Pump stock ...Ok so I contacted one of the guys directly that had the failure. He was running the 4x unit with the bracket and billet vacuum plate. The oil pump bolts snapped due to vibration and fell into the oil pan. He has a new engine now. That's basically the jist of it.
