Hope the upgraded trans works out... When you MT swap you need another 100whp almost to match the AT times. 370f doesn't sound realistic to me for the trans temps, maybe have the conversion formula wrong? Does the value match up with water and oil temp during steady state cruising?

Good catch on the conversion. It seemed very high but makes sense why. This is with the OEM heat exchanger removed. We had intention of adding the cooler but never made it before the race. So this was just from internal tranny friction+engine block conduction. I feel better now
Finally had some free time to throw the video together. Hopefully the various views demonstrate the capabilities of the trans!

Praise baby Jesus. I was having mixed emotions about this. LOL
Good to know the improved thermals in the frictions, steels and bushings are keeping the heat out of the clutch packs even in the absence of an aftermarket cooler, however, I would still recommend one especially for racing in hotter climates.
Nonetheless, excellent data! Thanks for getting the temp monitor working in such short notice. I was beating the hell out of Chris about it

My trans temp was in the 220 range today and it's only 70*

Time for me to take a look at some data and compare them in the awful arizona summer. This ADE 1K FMIC is going to be put to work.
I just bought a 2018 x5 and can't believe how much faster it shifts than my 09, does anyone have first hand how the pd calibration and upgrade compares to the 8hp. I am debating doing full rebuild or just using regular shop to install pd kit and use xhp with no rebuild and calibration.
If you’re in the SoCal area I’m happy to let you take mine for a drive and see for yourself. I have stage 2 xhp and it’s comparable to DCT shifting....I have zero complaints, flawless.

I live in Houston where it often goes 100° and beyond. With the setrab and two fans my atf never goes above 190° f during ultra harsh driving and ambient temps.
Normal driving yields mid 170°f.
For best temps. Mount in left fog light area. Do not make my mistake of mounting in center grill area.
