PI also keeps the intake tract and valves clean which is a big bonus.
Yup. And I bought Steve’s / Fuel It’s throttle body injection kit some years ago thinking it too would have the benefit of keeping my injectors clean. Never could tune out the over rich -34 STFT and lambda < 10.5 error codes with that TBI unit triggered by a dumb little Hobb’s switch. P I T A
Took it off and sold it some months later.

Yea, so you have:

1. VCV control
2. Flow model / fuel demand control
3. Fuel mass to VCV correlation / monitoring / adaptations
4. VCV electrical checks / monitoring / adaptations
The Porsche pump VCV looks very similar to ours from the outside. Is it bigger ? Electricaly more demanding ?

I will take that as a compliment ;)

I think my suspension is going to cost more than my single turbo ;) which is a good thing.
:tearsofjoy: I've yet to sort out my front suspension or even upgrade my bushings yet really, but between my solid monoball upper and lower mounts + my adjustable drag shocks I think I'm in a similar boat where I probably spent more on putting power down properly than most people spend going fo'bo'ton nowadays. People complain about the platform becoming too Honda-like, but I dont really think that's the case - theres just a very large divide between people who know what they're doing and people who hear "$8k car that can double its HP for a thousand bucks"

I'm glad someone smarter than me is working on this. I'm definitely looking forward to this option. KISS setup for e85 fueling controlled by the DME yes please.

But will whatever solution that comes out be cost competitive enough to displace PI? I think that is the ultimate barrier. The shotgun is a great idea, but the single shotgun doesn't provide enough supplementary fuel to justify it's cost and the double shotgun is pretty expensive once you also factor in a second HPFP.
Not to disagree with you here, but people routinely run 650WHP DI only with the single barrel. That's 100% E85. Drop it down to E60, and 700 is no issue. This is for a kit that costs $799. You can't be serious when you say single barrel doesn't provide enough supplementary fuel to justify the cost? Also, people are forgetting we made 800+WHP DI only on the double barrel with ZERO extra table changes 3 years ago. This is old hat to us, its fun to watch people try to catch up. Honestly for dollars to power potential, the shotgun is unrivaled.

I have seen logs from 3 separate cars showing the single barrel running out of steam on <60% e concentration at significantly less than 650whp.

I'm still very excited to see real-world results from the helix, it seems promising but I do think people will go thru HPFP's quicker than expected

Has a single person replicated Tony’s results? Why come in here and throw shade? Stop being that guy Chris. You used to be better than this.
Not following? Replicated his results? As far as an HPFP solution that works you mean? Not that I know of. If you are talking about how fast the pumps are being spun. Spool themselves released they are spinning the pump 4X. It's not hard to do that math there. It's over 18,000RPM. This is going to be extremely hard on the HPFP's themselves

Really Chris... please explain why a stock motor car I tuned on single shotgun and E40 maxed out at high 500s whp... max effort tune resulting in under 1000 psi rail pressure on E40.

And we have seen logs on 50+ separate cars of it having no issues holding at 600-650WHP on full E85, and at least 3 cars making 700+ with it, which we do not recommend. There are many factors at play. People seem to think, as has become common with this platform. I buy something, I bolt it on, and I make 650WHP. The Shotgun can only flow as much fuel as its being flowed. If your LPFP is not set up properly, or your tune is set up poorly. Your results will be directly affected. Its no accident most of the high powered shotgun cars come from the same tuners, they understand what is needed to make them work optimally.
