N54 Stock DME Flex Fuel

Correct. It allows you to run different fuel at different power (boost) levels with timing changing accordingly

I'm still confused.... your saying that's correct it won't change boost levels, then yes it allows different boost levels..?


I read the entire thread and still no clear answer, will this automatically adjust boost levels with different mixes of fuel? Simply put; would you be able to run a pump gas boost/power level, add e85, and without flashing run higher boost/power levels? From what little I can decider to this, it looks like the answer is no. It will adjust the fueling requirements to maintain the current tune, but no boost nor power level adjustments.

It will adjust boost/power by ethanol content. I am adapting the idea to N55/S55 presently.

I hate cross posting from other forums, I feel that's "poor form", but I kind of have to:

You do get to specify what your tune is targeting, through the set of interpolation % maps, for fuel, timing, and load. Each has 8 cells, so you can, for example, set your targets for E10, E30, E40, E50, E60, E70, E85, E98 if you wish. Or any other interval, that's the beauty

The XDF's will be released when the function is released and you can download them at any time from the same location @jyamona keeps all the other XDF's.

There are a few ways to get it to work with a standalone PI controller I can think of. If the PI controller is unaware of ethanol content, the DME controlled DI could compensate the total fuel delivery by an exaggerated fuel scalar blender.

Yes, this works with standalone PI. @jyamona has said there is an additional output from the ECA that goes to your PI controller to allow it to run a custom flex fuel mapping as well (that he will provide).

Realistically at this point @jyamona is in a lose/lose situation here. He can not give an update and people will be pissed. He can give an update that things still aren't ready yet but here's the status and people will be pissed.

There's no reason for him to take a beating until the update is, "It's ready for purchase guys and here's your link".
