EDIT: Never mind. I saw the answer in the N55 group buy thread, which I hadn't looked at until just now. New style boots on the N55 kits.
Speaking of new boots, do the N55 (location, for N54) wires include the latest revision boots (easier to install, as I understand it)?
So the latest revision boots are quite a ways out. Couple months.
We can send out an N55 kit pretty much immediately, or an N54 kit with the plug and play connectors and old style boots in a week or so.
I’ll be gathering that data today at some point of what everyone prefers.

So if the n55 kit ships with new boots, and works with n54 and a double shotgun fuel kit, is it possible to change over to one? I didn't realize n54 boots were months out.
They will if you wanted to wait a few months for them to come in stock, from what I understand. Which means they won't ship until then.
So the group buy for updated version is a few months wait? Just little confused thought this was a group buy spacificly for the new version.

Directly stated in the group buy post the kit will come with new plug boots and PNP connectors. But seems like there will be a 3 month wait until new boots come in.
I feel like it would be fair to us who were promised new boots
To have the overall kit sent to us with old boots then have new the new hardware sent to us when it released free of charge.
Cause I ain’t waiting 3 months.
Wow this is terrible. I'm so glad I backed out. I wanted one shipped with just the new connectors but they wouldn't sell me one from the first batch so it was a wait till mid may for them to arrive and for the boots to arrive, now the boots are months out. Lol.
I created a group buy request thread which started this thread to buy the kit with the first batch of connectors and what we got was so different and continuously changing and continuously delayed.
All I have to say is John at dbv2 isn't at fault for this. This is precision raceworks promising and not delivering to new customers and instead of making money they are making customers angry and once they get a refund they may never rebuy. After this experience I've decided to not get coils unless I have to and by then there will be more choices. Seeing the failure of this group buy is enough to detour me and others away from precision. Again no one will blame John he is just a reseller; however, precision dropped the ball big time on this by selling those connectors first to people without kits or people with kits already installed instead of putting them in new customers kits to ship for the first time buyers of the group buy and now the boots are very late. I wouldn't be surprised to see 50% or more wanting a refund now. We all know the saying....

This is why I backed out once things started to change. I didn't trust precision to follow through since they dont seem to care about new customers for some reason. I wasn't going to wait a month for a kit since they chose not to sell the sample connectors in new kits let alone 3+ months! The sad part is all I wanted was the kit shipped with the connectors asap but everything kept changing for the worst.

This is my thread that helped get the group buy started. Back in April i requested a group buy for the kit with the sample connectors and it precision instead sold them separately and gave them to people who had kits installed making group buy users wait months. So much for gaining new customers.

Yeah John is a good dude.
Precision Raceworks should have came forward with a succinct statement on what this group buy will receive.
I think the main reason why the connectors weren’t sent out in new Kits was because they were still in their testing phase hence why only people with kits got the chance to get their hands on them first.
I didn’t even see that post about John and PR having a communication error on what will be available at the end of this GB wow.
My preference would be to get the newest wires with revised boots, for the N55 version with intake manifold-mounted coils, for an N54 application. I can wait for the revised boots.
Agree can we receive the new boots after. free of charge instead of three months wait? I ordered two kits to complete the first ten orders of the group buy. Now I have to explain that can’t have them for months is kind of hard after waiting one month already after full payment. Not mad John you have been really good at trying to help out with this group buy and handling all this just would like a little more clarity to what are our clear choices.
This is the timeline on why i have had such a bad experience and grevience towards PR.

Then PRECISION RACEWORKS Responded to me on Apr 23, 2018 and said they are offering them to EVERYONE.
Then i posted in response to them on Apr 23, 2018 specifically asking about a PRE-ORDER for dibs at a set of them since they were offering them to everyone and i was one of the very first to reach out to them.
Then i never heard back from PR. This is when [email protected] responded to my thread and i said on May 3rd 2018 because i already seen that the original 180 were sold off to previous customers and non PR coil customers on there facebook page.
I would have paid the full $480 for the kit when i offered to pre-order the set when the new connectors showed up, instead they didnt even care to reach out to me. At this point i learned my lession after i paid and they extended the Group Buy and didnt plan to ship them after they had 10 sales like they originally said; Then decided to add on the new boots and made shipping Mid May (which not looks to be even more extended) so I gave up and got a refund for continiously being disapointed as a potential customer that they obviously didnt want. I never in my life had a problem trying to give a company my money to purchase something until now.

Yea I did go back no. just stopped following the thread after had placed orders just said would wait not much to do once I knew I had a month wait. Should of followed up. But I’ll wait to see now what John says thanks for the refresh tho.
I would like clarification on what the available N54 kit (1 week out) and N55 location kit (available now) includes. Kit, wires, boots. That will clear up a lot.
On another note:
If the N54 kit with revised boots isn't available for another few months, a good resolution to that on PRs end would be for the kit to be shipped with the new connectors, and new boots to be shipped when available to group buy participants with a return box for the old boots to be sent back.
