@NoQuarter , what progress have you made on your Z with the GTS flash if you don't mind me asking?

My arm is usable again for really light duty tasks, and off the pain meds.

So...yesterday I finished up the wire harness adapter and today's task is to get the programming done.

If all is good, I will modify the adapter to have a port for pt-can data capture.

OK... I have used WinKPF before but I don't recognize what's going on here.
After I select comfort mode I get the options shown below and then select F3 Update ECU

The only ECU that shows up is MSD81.

Any ideas on what I'm missing?

edit: never mind:rolleyes:

Previously I was working on the DME and removed all the data files except what I needed. I have to get the data back in there then should be good to go.

Flashed the TCU, changed the VO and coded the modules.

First test seems that the parking lock is working, I can go into reverse, neutral, M1 and M2 but have not tried to drive it.

I get a transmission error on the display and I do not see anything to do with the drive logic in the cluster.

I will validate all the steps and manually check each module for proper default coding from NCSExpert

I had some more coding to do. I will post some notes on what I have changed.

Transmission error is gone and I now have drivelogic display and can change the levels.

My Sport button selection no longer displays in the cluster but I do think it is in fact switching because if I go up to sport+ mode then the DTC light comes on.

Related to DCT conversion, but not... With the MDCT we get adjustable launch control with DSC off. It works amazingly, except for no spool up. Anyone sort out the tables to get spool going under launch control. I'm assuming the DME is using timing and fuel tables for a zero gear selection when you are in Neutral and when you are using launch control.

One of the known tuners simply retarded timing in the part of the map where the launch revs are. Forget his name other than that I’m not aware of any particular tables for launch spool per se @jyamona might know better?

I don't recall seeing tables for that. There is probably a value set to dump WGs when LC is active and re-enable on exit. If so, will probably need a logic change to undo it unless there's a switch in the DME. I'll keep an eye out.

I've had IKM0S installed (stock 335is DCT hardware), but short on time the last month or 2. I installed a 1M SZL and spent some time trying to get the connection going today. I've got 2 more things left to try on coding next weekend, but still not sure if Kombi needs to be changed to work properly or if the EGS will throw a wrench in the works either way. I'm just trying to get the 1M sport working on non-1, non-M DCT hardware for now.

He made a “drag only“ tune by adjusting the timing only at launch RPM and he was getting in the order of 6 or so Psi boost. Issue was you couldn’t use that tune day to day because as soon as it hit that part of the table ....

No, I had help from the man getting it on my original DME.

Issue was you couldn’t use that tune day to day because as soon as it hit that part of the table ....
I dug up an old log of LC active on my car, it sits on limiter 16 the whole time. The no boost may just be part of the not wanting torque logic.

  • Car will not roll forward when put into drive until push of the accelerator pedal
  • Car will not roll backward when put into reverse until push of the accelerator pedal
  • After couple seconds, car will roll backward down a hill
  • D mode is automatic drive logic level 2
  • S mode is automatic drive logic level 4 (I think. something that can be coded I imagine)
  • Manual shifting works
  • Previously I said I could go to level 6 without turning off DCT. What I didn't notice is the number of bars that display is only 5 so I am not going to level 6. I tried getting into level 6 but am not able to at the moment. My engine is in half power mode error (my fuel pump) so that could be a reason? Where do I see the level 6 indicated?

Level 6 is revealed in the KOMBI when DSC is deactivated. You can see it happen in the YouTube video here
