Getting back into things. Spent the last couple months spending all my time (and money  ) getting a new shop space sorted out.

Pulling out my HPFP experimental pumps so I can properly finish up testing this M3 DCT conversion. Will go back to stock HPFP for this driving season.

will try my luck in this thread

Ive done with 95% of the Electric Part of Convertation:

GWS
EDC/Power button
Drivelogic Button
M3 SZL
M3 Steering with Paddels & MuFu
M3 Combi
M3 DSC MK60

Wiring is Done, Wires to MK60 and to MSD81 are installed.

flashed the M3 GTS Software
flashed the 1er M Software (IKM0S)
Coded the VO for M Drive and M DCT
Coded the M3DSC, Kombi, CIC, MSD81 and GWS

i thing all is installed except theM3 DSC Sensors, are they necessary?

so ive flashed back to INA0s because someone said its not necessary and MDM or Power not work.

My Problem now, Paddels dont work, Clutch is slipping.

did i have change the Hardware back (M3 DSC and M3 SZL) to OEM??

i dont install the LSD Parts because its now working yet, so before i will spend money or i borrow it from other car i want to know if this swap work or not. so if it does not work i will swap back and sell all the parts.

Edit: LC not working 2

Thank you

Hardware should have been the first item, then GWS/coding then all of the other 'goodies'. Without matching final drive ratio the M3 TCU software will slip clutches thinking it needs to do so to correct wheel speed; it's something we are trying to attack on the software level but it is not a small task.

After hardware is corrected THEN you can tackle paddles, ZSL, KOMBI, DSC, etc... (but all of these items are just for the attempts at MDM/MDrive...)

You should not need to do wheel speed sensors unless you are a very early car, but you are 335is so you will be good.

I will stick with 1M bin. All works good that route.
Can u post ur error codes?
What yr is ur car?
On problem i have is teaching adaptatins to my car bcz i can t shutoff the car and stay in N. Not sure what i did and mess that up. It was doing it before but i also had issues with P at the time. Now is just no way to stay in N with engine off. There i ask for help.
As for u.. post codes i can try to share my experience as i just went thru the swap .. i am running 93 tune and no slippagbe anymore.. but i did swap to 3.08 ratio with lsd

Did you double check the park sensor on side of GWS? There is a plug you need to attach so car can detect the parking 'lock' being activated...

Ok. So all ur M3 hardware i am not sure can work correctly with the IS bin. But will work 1M bin. Meaning u should have LC and LC variable is u have the correct SZL. *069.
Make sure to default code all the M modules with the M productionline of your choice (I used PK91 for mine) make sure to add to the VO along with 2MK and 2MD before coding

I don't think 1M bin will just transfer over... @dyezak had to get some custom work from @jyamona ...

LC should be working with only KOMBI and the GWS (and hardware) as @Stokes had that working:

Well nothing that s special about swapping the bin. It is just a a toggle to disactivate. The tune just swap over. Take some time to make sure the tables swapped over. But with protool and the file for it. Along with the open bin from previous tune it is easy. And everyone can do it itself. I can provide the files if u have ur bin open. FREE

I have no clue how to get these axles out. I tried a sledge and brass punch, plenty of p-blaster, now trying a hydraulic press.

Feels like this hydraulic press is doing dick all. Was coated in oil out of box...

Not having luck like @dyezak did in his video:

Tried tapping on the hub while press was tightened... no budging. At a loss. :(

In the video he said he used a 12 ton jack and that had a little resistance. Also what suspension arms do you have?

Yeah, 5 ton, thought that was enough!

Are you cussing at it enough? Has it’s mum been mentioned ? :D
Keep at it. Try some heat?

Worried about using heat. I only have a propane torch and don't want to replace bearings as well. Has anyone else used heat?

Oh snap, great catch. I watched the video a few times today and completely missed the "12 ton jack". Thought it was the 5! Wonder if Harbor Freight will return it. I'll go get some jackstands and try to get the 12 ton instead.

M3 arms (TRW), Manzo camber/toe arms.

Thank you for some out of my own head thinking!

I had to buy the 15 or 12 ton one that harbor freight sells to remove the axles in my 2009 335i. The 5 ton did not do jack shit but the biggest one they sell worked perfectly. It still took a TON of pressure/effort to break it free.

Edit: I returned the 5 ton after using it and they didnt question it. But it still looked new and all.

Freaking wild! Tons of force needed.

I got it boxed up to attempt return.

Thanks for confirmation

hahahaha

I got the 12 ton press, some jack stands and some more gloves...

Just haven't had the motivation to work on it. This car and I have a very unfriendly relationship. I feel like I struggle to get anything done on it, fights me the entire time.

This is how it is sitting in the garage.... :D

I know what you mean. Splitting up the work really helps with the frustrations like you have there.

Sometimes I let days pass between getting organized, cleaning up the parts about to be worked on, doing a a dry run on the disassembly, .....

Then I find my motivation!

For sure. I get very frustrated with this car. The breaks are great when the vehicle isn't the daily driver! :)

Having a way to clean up parts and keep things nice would be a great addition to my life. My garage is incredibly unorganized and I can't find a thing when I need it. Need one of those "home organizers" to whip up my workspace!

Regardless, will attempt to get the axles pushed tonight. Driver's side rotor isn't wanting to come off, will investigate that as well.
