Misfire only on ethanol after installing Reflex

My old setup was running fine. I had a separate 93 and e85 tunes with PI control using an AIC2.

I installed a Motiv Reflex to run a flex tune (so I wouldn't have to switch maps all the time) , control boost, control 2nd fuel pump. I also upgraded to b58 coils. When I am only using 93 (e15) the car seems to run great. We moved on to tuning on e and now the car is breaking up. I am currently at e50 in the tank, mix of 93 and x98. I had used flex fuel from Rofo (e65) and had the same issue.

Looks to me like its running lean and I'm not getting enough fuel but my tuner said the file is good and says its something with my engine. So far installed new plugs gapped to .018, new VTT b58 coils, stretched the springs out to make sure the coils have good contact and replaced seals and decouplers on the injectors.

What is the best way to see if my PI is working correctly?

DocRace (6266 gen 1)
Motiv Reflex
750cc PI injectors
450 walbro x2
BMP upgraded fuel lines
VTT B58 coils
VTT billet valve cover
stock IM but have a VTT billet IM on order
Index 12 injectors
Radium universal OCC
Wagner IC

I have an ethanol log that I’ll link below but not an up to date 93 log for comparison. I was only able to get to about 5.5k rpms before getting a CEL. I don’t think I have an issue building boost. The misfires start around 21 psi. Also not sure why throttle would be fluctuating so much as I had good traction during that log.

Realized I have yet to mention my setup so here it is:

Speedtech bottom mount ST kit
Garrett gtx3582r
Turbosmart hypergate 45 wastegate
BMP port injection with 750cc injectors
Dual walbro 450s
Eldor coil packs
NGK plugs 2 step colder
Index 12s
Motiv ReFlex
Looks to me like you have WAY too much fuel from the PI based on STFT bank 1. You are hitting max trims from what I see in the log. That would cause misfires, bouncing AFR. I'd retune the PI.

Yes seems like a lot of fuel to me as well. I sent over a log to my tuner. We will see

They are brand new bosche O2 sensors but I will try swapping with my old ones to verify that they didn’t come faulty
Is there any update on this? I did see this on a fb post a while back, dont know if this may be your issue.

Hmm that’s very interesting. I ended up swapping in a different set of o2 sensors with no luck. I’m going to test for leaks on the intake side. More specifically where my PI plate meets the intake manifold. If everything checks out with that then I may think about reaching out to him. I’m starting to get desperate

Man I'm also having this issue. Wondering what kind of progress you've made on it? Here's everything I've done:
I have made no progress. I've been replacing a bunch of parts and it's still misfiring on ethanol only.

Almost every time it gives a misfire code it's on cylinder one. I pulled the cylinder one plug after letting the car sit over night. It smelled like fuel and had some nice carbon buildup. So I took my borescope and looked into the cylinder and saw the piston top was wet with fuel. Obviously it seems like an injector. Which is weird considering they are brand new from FCP. I swapped in a different index 12 that I had laying around (with new seal and decoupler of course) and I'm still getting cylinder one misfire. I thought the injector I swapped in was healthy but maybe it's not. I'll be pulling all injectors in a few days to leak test them so we'll see. I think it's important to note that the injector bores all appear to be in good shape and not ovaled.

So for my situation, almost everything points towards an injector. It's just interesting that the car runs solid on 93 pump. I'm also not sure how common it is to have new injectors fail immediately out of the box.

I've done all of that because all of the issues also pointed to injectors. However, after all the work you just said you did, I still have a misfire. Even on pump gas now. All my injectors have been leak tested and they're all perfect.

What turbos are you on? Or turbo and waste gate?

Are you making target boost?

Couple things to check. Check your injector grounds, if your running the PR trigger set up for your second pump check the relay in your truck and make sure it didn’t pop the resistor
I’m still tuned for single fuel pump at this time. Been wanting to add power but can’t because of this issue. Is anyone here running the OG reflex? Or reflex plus?
Injector grounds are good otherwise, using the M18 valve cover (POS)

So you’re running e85 with a single pump? I have reflex plus on my car now. What is your boost your running?

I was running 30psi but never able to hit that number. Single 535 does great though, put a secondary 525 but could never get a good log on single, fuel pressure looked great though. I’m also on the original reflex, thinking maybe the plus will do better

Have you flashed it to the latest firmware and have the most updated flash for the motiv to that Firmware update?
30lbs man you should be on 2 pumps in my opinion. E85 is like a 20% increase in fuel demand.
