Looks like the MHD Wifi is on backorder everywhere? Are they generally for sale or a batch product?

I've been running v2.x lately and while it looks nice, it's sluggish and there are gaps in the logs (ranges from 400-800 rpm gaps). Tried 4 devices and all the same; using the orange wifi device (E-series app). Anyone else experiencing drops in their logs? Also, anyway to install and use the older v1.8?
I don't use the OTS maps. When I installed a v1.8 APK I found, it doesn't tie back to google for licenses.
If you already logged in to the new app and it moved your licenses, they will not be available on the old app any more. This is necessary to enable license sharing between android and iOS.
Try logging w/ airplane mode on your phone (turn wifi back on them obviously). Also try to use the new gauge style.
My black F series adapter also disconnects at times, but thats because it comes a bit loose so make sure you really shove your adapter into the port.My orange adapter is experiencing severe issues as it will constantly drop off the wifi connection. I'll ping support and see if I can change this one out. It did work previously tho when I could reflash my car at breakneck speed.
Sure. Best idea and super easy rather than unplugging/re-connectingDoes anyone have any experience with this? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32834895531.html
It has an on/off switch so perhaps it won't drain the battery once you are done using it.

Oh dang, you probably should get a new unit from MHD - if it is indeed the adapters fault which in this case sounds like it is.Mine unfortunately stays up for mere seconds before disconnecting, so nothing can be done with it and it is basically useless. I've gone back to a wired solution for the time being so that I can get things done. Trust me, I've tried to make sure that the connection between the adapter and the port is snug

Oh man that's terrible to hear op.I'm trying my best. Bimmer-connect who sold the adapter is not responding to emails or facebook messages. I got an answer back from MHD that they wash their hands off from the issue and I need to figure it out with the reseller. Which I completely understand, but as BC is completely ignoring me it is a tad difficult.
Does anyone have better email address to try to reach BC than [email protected] ?

Is anyone else having problems with freezing while monitoring? I have the orange mhd WiFi adapter and never have any problems connecting and flashing. Once I start monitoring, all the gauges freeze after about 15-25 seconds. Driving me crazy
I have been having the same issue and was talking (sent in debugging files as well) to MHD about but have not heard anything back lately. It happens with my orange adapter that I have had since they first released it and it happens on my dedicated Lenovo tablet, my S20 Ultra 5G, and on my backup Fire HD 7 and all of these devices have been used for MHD for a while without issue so it's not the Android device. MHD says it is happening because the devices are trying to connect to other wifi devices but my tablets are not set up to connect to any wifi networks automatically and I only use them for the car.
When mine freezes it is not the device, I just hit the back button and then start monitoring again and it works fine.
My guess is that it is an issue with the Orange MHD adapter itself, I'll likely get another one and see if it fixes the issue. It's pretty annoying because it seems to freeze when I run into someone in Mexico and do a pull and then after I realize it was frozen and did not log.
Have you guys changed the adapter's SSID/added a password? I'm curious how much of a difference that makes. I've been running mine with a password and different SSID since I got it, and I rarely have issues with freezing. Could be worth a shot, if you haven't already
Connect to the adapter's network as normal, then go to http://192.168.4.1 in your web browser. That should bring up the adapter's settings page, and from there you should be able to find the Wi-Fi settings. How did you change the SSID and password?
