Jesus, we have some real craftsmen here. Between you and @chadillac2000 you two could build a SEMA worthy car.
Only interested in exterior, interior, engine bay and suspension. From what bro
I like that you cut out the engine cover so you could see the coils. Thinking outside the box!
M3 vowel is the only way to do it "properly" imo. Keeps the smell out and keeps the engine bay sealed for airflow and water purposes.
I agree with pretty much everything you said. I prefer the M3 for access myself. I don't have to remove anything to get to anything. To each their own though.Lol at the "sad" rating. Sorry, but replacing the two stock plastic corner "caps" with giant Idaho shaped caps looks like garbage. Because it came with the M3 doesn't make it awesome.
The stock caps with the rubber liner tabs keep everything dry. The cowls main purpose, I believe, is preventing a pressure wall from building in the front of the engine bay by sealing the engine bay / windshield transition. It does so poorly. In the photo it looks like he has re installed the rubber to keep that area sealed. You're correct on the smell issue. There's no way to fit the oem filters in place with that set up but it looks like he has the plug in filters installed. They likely won't do as a good of a job because they're going to be drawing air from outside of the cover tho.
I wouldn't entertain either the M3 or cutting it. This might make the OCD guys go crazy but my set up is held on by two screws. Takes under a minute to get to anything.

@Lifestyler what are the specs on your wheels? The rears look to be a bit more concaved than normal ARC-8 fitment.
