Absolutely, the M4 GT4/M2 CS Racing both use the same pump + pan setup so it must work well enough under racing conditions.

Love what you are doing here, and agree it is most likely the only way forward. Have you been able to find any S55 oil pressure (MHD) logs done at a track? Should be super easy to log on that platform, and would be interesting to compare with what we have for N55 and my N54.

The oil level sensor under the N54 is measuring Level and Temp, all other who swap to Oil Pans from the M2CR I can confirm it is PNP and you get a real oil dip stick, but there is stil no solution around for the oil temp and leveling sensor... any idea on that one?

Just use the N55 oil level sensor & problem solved

and then the pressure becomes measurable? That would be very nice.

Hello, I'm new to this lovely community and I have a series of doubts.

I'm in the middle of a project to swap my 325i e92 n53b30 to a 335 n54b30. It turns out that the camshafts of the N54b30 are dead. Can I use the camshafts from the N53b30 engine?

I've read that it's possible to install an N53 cylinder head with adaptations. Do you know the approximate cost and if it would be profitable in terms of power? I have 17t turbos installed.

Thank you and I hope you can help me. Best regards!

I don't know if they're physically swappable, but n54 and n55 have different specs:

Sorry, I could have sworn I saw n55 cams mentioned in your original post, but I see it's nowhere to be found in your quote.

i just send n54 head for cleaning, probe and change valve guides, i was leaking oil by exhaust valve of cylinder 4

when all finish, im going to mount my n53 camshafts, intake and exhaust. I need to know if i have to use variable adjusters of n53 or n54 with the n53 cams

From what I recall the n53 cams are plug and play with the N54 complete head.

I suggest you use the N53 intake cam and the N54 exhaust cam for a turbo setup.

I'm lazy to search but is there proof this is the 'way to go' for an inexpensive upgrade? I remember reading a thread about it but it did not seem like there was concrete data one way or the other. I also never followed it that closely. I assume low lift or high lift shrick cams are better than the N53 intake cam?

OKey, i have orderer a exhaust cam n54 now.
Intake variable adjuster of n54 is a different part that n53 intake variable adjuster, which i shoud use?
exhaust variable adjuster in the same in both engines...

this is my way to dont spend more money on this and use my own n53 cams on it hahaha lol
but yes, schrick low lift or high lift cams are better option than n53 intake cam. but i need use, not lookingfor more power, only need it work hahahaha

Can I use the exhaust camshaft of the N53 engine on the N54 or it's impossible?

I know I can use the intake camshaft of the N53 on the N54, even gaining something in the process... but I don't know if I'll be able to use the exhaust one...

Any ideas with that?

And another doubt, the VANOS intake phase variable are different from the N54 and the N53. If I use the intake camshaft of the N53, which phase variable should I use, the N53 or the N54?
