@mikeseli
1.75" OD, 1.875" OD, and 2" OD all get the job done, and I doubt there's anything in it power-wise between them, especially considering the pipe runs are so short. Keep in mind that the smaller pipes will make fitment better/easier in a very cramped engine bay, and allow the fabricator more options/leeway, and will likely allow for a nicer/smoother merge which is worth more than any difference in OD is likely to make.

I agree as long as the ID is 1.65" to 1.875".

Ours is 1.75" OD which ID's pretty perfect for the 1.51" ID on the Hydra turbo outlets. We are going to make two short sleeves that are 1.88" OD that will be independently beaded, then swaged on to the 1.75" tubing and seam welded. This will allow us to get a complete bead, and give us a better clamp up on sizing on the silicone hose. I want to run HPS aramid there (orange) and its 2" ID..

Here you go, they can also make it 4" long. This is what I have.

What size would be proper to maintain same velocity into 2.5 as that's what most intercooler inlets are? You have the math down so rather than me mess it up with some internet calculator figure id ask. I think like hydra said a good merge but also if speed is either slowing or same is best. That could be why 2 inch might be worse if it flows better than 2.5 than you are trying to compress or accelerate causing tumbling and more heat and backpressure.

@Rob09msport ,

http://www.hps-siliconehoses.com/hp...ler-silicone-hose-black-reinforced-4-ply.html , also available in a 4" overall length

Without getting too pedantic, 2.5/sqrt2 = 1.77", but again the difference between 1.75, 1.875, or even 2" from a performance perspective are likely to be minor, which is why I insist that packaging > performance in this particular case... Damn that's a lot of P's LOL!

Sometimes im very immature so what I got out of that was
1.75 THE BEST oh yeah

The fabricator is going to make a 1.75 so that nothing touches frame and makes noise plus might not need that flat spot like on the PSP and others I asked him about group buy he said once jig made will be cheaper and he will lat me know but mine is 400 so obviously the others will be cheaper. He should have price shortly so lmk who wants so I can tell how many. The shop in Stratford Connecticut is the place they were on Norwalk just moved bigger place and been in business over 30 yrs.
If you have the diagonal fmic inlet like I do on my ade 650 then you have alot of prob for the front turbo connection I don't know about others but either way it will prob rattle cause will be touching frame rail.

Interesting, I would like to see some pics.

Update for shock and whoever else I need to know if anyone else wants I can forward info or I can pick up and send or whatever i don't care they are 300 and he said if I get 2 or 3 he wont charge me the hundred for the jig as of now I told him 2 cause shock was only one that said def.
They are 1.75 to a 2.5 I chose to stick with 2 piece design for install ease so will need 2 1.75 to 2 inch couplers and one 2.5 inch coupler with clamps of choice and that's it

Send us pics prior and post installation. I'm interested.
You meant (qty. 2 ) 1.75" to 2" straight coupler and (qty.1) 1.75" straignt coupler.
The 2.5" coupler that goes to the intercooler this is already supplied with the intercooler.

Yes your right brain farted but people running silicone wont have fmic coupler so will need both 2.5 and 1.75. I had such nightmare with these and vrsf wants me to pay to send back and for 20 percent restocking when I have emails from them saying hydra 650s are compatible . Im about to dispute cause I shouldn't be out 350 in shipping and restocking for their multiple mistakes but I really hate doing that so dont know what to do.

Anyway if you guys want I'll start a group buy post and put pics up. Anyone that has known me or my cars should know I'm ocd and this is not going to be a hack job.

Also do you plan on having enough room to leave the factory coolant tank in place?

Well I'm going to try to make the vrsf work this weekend if I can, but I might be hitting you up if it doesn't go well

I'm relocated cause I run relocated inlets but the outlets are going to be pretty close to stock I'll mock up next to stock so shouldnt interfere but I'll give def answer when I have in hand. Also after I get these made I'll leave info up or anyone can contact "the shop" I have no stake in this so no difference to me I'm glad to help others get going and not go through what I did plus more people run these the more data and info for everyone including me.
