Yeah, but people are still swinging by AJ. They don't care and claim it all to be rumors and this and that. and the fact that AJ offered to retune everyone who had issues makes them go back to the good old "well he has the best customer service" stance even if he is a shit tuner.

yeah, those are the same people that believes everything with a hastag and gimmicky photos. it does say that AJ knows his demographic well by focusing his marketing on social media.

Also apparently it's not just tuning that he does a shit job on. This is from an install aj did of a doc kit on a 135.

I'm not surprised in the least,he needs to be shut down. He has no right whatsoever touching anyones car, let alone tuning it over the internet. I got burned for a whole year Tony all lies. Here's the kicker, at the end of the day he'll be able to tune and market on here too

You know, it's funny. I'm sure my post is going to really rub some people the wrong way, but it needs to be said as we excoriate one guy and act like it doesn't take two to tango. That's called being victims.

There is this place called the Internet where all this information is available. And people have the opportunity to work to be informed. They also have the opportunity to learn how to discern those that have been around and are experienced (in something they are not) versus inexperienced. But what I see a lot of on this platform is people that are trying to figure out how to do everything cheap. Not everyone, but a lot of people. Ironically those that are on the cheap are typically those that can't afford the risk, and often also those that scream loudest when their ill-played guess screws them. And if you think I'm full of shit, just ask any vendor that's been around more than 18 months and they will tell you they are sick and tired of dealing with people that all want the "bro discount", the group buy price after the group buy, the trade-in, the used parts, the extra freebies, the "really-do-I-have-to-replace-that-too". The N54 has hit the twilight zone of "I bought this car for $6k and I have a modded 400whp car I drive to my job at Walmart". Guess what that breeds a ground for ... charlatans with good deals. Here's what doesn't discern tuning chops: 1) I have an IG account and post photos frequently, 2) My facebook page has cool videos, 3) I'm a really nice guy, 4) 5 other guys that clearly don't know much think I'm awesome.

There is no substitute for the investment of time and learning to make these decisions, and an awareness that $200 doesn't add 80whp with BMW OE reliability "gee I won the lottery again aren't I so smart!" Going fast is expensive, because with it comes risk and consequence. One wants to walk that path with experienced people. Period.

Shine a bright light on the charlatans, but it is a two-way street - the people that got duped need to take a hard look at how they got duped, and learn something from it. It takes two to tango, but it takes guts to share one's own lessons learned.

Mr. Morelli,
I'm going to agree with you but only to a small extent, however I'd love for you to try and say that to my face. Are you so indignant that you sift through peoples' emotional trash cans to find something that'll give you the superior edge? Yes, I believe so. I'm a firm believer that we are all gluttons for a Need for speed, especially being a member to this forum. My defition of a glutton is to fill a never ending void, like your hunger for this:2018 winter: single barrel, Fuel-It LPFP and lines, S63 injectors, bimmerlife coils and N20 plugs, Ohlins (full M3+ suspension bits already, and MFactory LSD). Flex Fuel Ready!
I didn't pay AJ $200 and assume I was getting the world from him. I paid him to tune my car responsibly and in the end that's not what I anticipated. I'm more mad due to the possible engine damage that he may have done to my car, and lying to me all along. Some of this is my fault because I didn't do my homework on him. People judge people, and we dont need a reason, just a scape goat. Humans have been manufacturing targets out of each other since our molecules formed. SOme people just dont have the time to learn and apply tuning. I know I don't, I have a pharmacy to run all week.

I wasn't speaking directly to you. Obviously I have no idea what your specific circumstances are.

forgive me, but S63 injectors? New to this site (but been around since the N54 inception) and Ive never heard of them being used. Do they offer more room over the standard index 12 injectors?

my apologies for the OT

This is why I run the signature, because like you just did, I've asked others lots of questions based on what they have or are doing on their car.

The p/n 13538648937 injector is an index 12 injector, but unlike the N54 13538616079 injector, has an additional internal filter and thermal compensating oil for higher horsepower application. It is what BMW recommends for the S63 engine. These are a direct swap to the N54. My local BMW dealer actually called me to verify my order since it did not match up with the N54 for my car/year so-to-speak. Does it make a difference? I have no idea, but the higher horsepower application seems a plus. If you want to read more, here's a brief note from FCPEuro. Hope this answered your question.
