I am having issues getting dsc and szl pairing, help please?Hello Guys,
Ive done with 95% of the Electric Part of Convertation:
GWS
EDC/Power button
Drivelogic Button
M3 SZL
M3 Steering with Paddels & MuFu
M3 Combi
M3 DSC MK60
Wiring is Done, Wires to MK60 and to MSD81 are installed.
flashed the M3 GTS Software
flashed the 1er M Software (IKM0S)
Coded the VO for M Drive and M DCT
Coded the M3DSC, Kombi, CIC, MSD81 and GWS
i thing all is installed except the4 M3 DSC Sensors, are they necessary?
Other Quetion, does the M3 LSD Fit with the 335i driveshafts? someone say yes, other say no.
Edit: no Error Codes, DSC OFF is Work, M button Work (Green M Light Turned On) Power Bottun no funktion (No change and no Light turned on after push) iDrive Changes in M Display (CIC) dont work
I did try the PM91. But was no diff, actually was like most of the coding was done, all cic and kombi options were selected. What i do not understand is the szl serial invalid code.Maybe try a normal M3 code? CRT/GTS has some specific files and modules/coding/pins may not be the same as normal M3s. Don't jump into the deep end to start, make it as easy as possible to get working as intended and then mess around with the questionable options after if you want.
Have you been able to get the VIN written to the DSC at all? That would be step 1 I'd think.I did try the PM91. But was no diff, actually was like most of the coding was done, all cic and kombi options were selected. What i do not understand is the szl serial invalid code.
I think so.Have you been able to get the VIN written to the DSC at all? That would be step 1 I'd think.
After a few hrs or troubleshooting.. figured out with help of Roma in Europe that one of my VO values was conflicting. After we identified it NCS expert is back online. So fixing my VO got me a step closer. CORRECTEDThe only other thing I can think is that the files it's using aren't correct based on the selection or dates. Might try running through files in Tools32 and see which, if any, can read the DSC or EGS or if there is a comm error before you even get that far.

Next we found out my pining of the yaw pin1 does not go to pin 28 on dsc but to pin 26. CORRECTED then i was able to default code my M3DSC. But not able to code the M3SZL.
Next we found that F-CAN had an issue. Next is troubleshooting that part tomorrow. Anyone input?
wish
The yaw pins need to be like this. Not like the other post shows..Progress at least. I've seen SZL is coded through DSC, including M3 (MK60_M3.xxx). Do you have a separate "M3SZL" module listed with the VO you're using?

can maybe one of the people who got it going summarize what you need and what not and how you can get it all going? there are now 3 or 4 threads and the information is scattered between the lines. you can read 5 days but you can't get any further. my clutch slips all the time, despite re-teaching with ista. The paddels dont work since changing from IKM0S to INA0S beacause it wasnt necessary
. Before I continue to invest money in the 3.15 M3 LSD, can someone tell me whether the clutch slip has anything to do with it?
thank you
hi,Assuming 1st through 3rd don't slip? And it didn't slip before changing to mdct software?
Only required items (older car may add to this) :
- M3 shifter assembly (+plug adapters)
- 3.15 or somewhere close ratio diff (2.81 works)
- mdct zsub for flashing
Cluster is optional.
If you want to know for sure, borrow a 3.15 open diff and slap it in. I used a 3.08 open diff to verify it was truly a wheel speed to transmission speed delta issue.
If you are going after MDM and M-mode, good luck. This thread was about MDCT.
hi,
yes no slipping before swap. so if i install the 3.15 it will work without slipping?
Thank you. i have this LSD Swap in other car (N54 AT) so i will Get it from there to test. i hope it will workYes, or with a +/- 10% variance from what we can tell. 2.56 is too far off from allowed variance, 2.81 seems to be within the sweet spot.
For replacing diff/axles:
The 335 axles will NOT bolt onto the M3 diff, you need the M3 axles *AND* the axle bolts (another item that doesn't swap over). Also, the 335 driveshaft will NOT bolt into the M3 diff; you will need to 'meld' the two driveshafts together (and shorten).
It's a lot of work... I am in the middle of it right now.

Axles are quite stuck and I had to go out and purchase a hydraulic 3 arm puller.
Not loving the job.

just want bring this swap to work. finaldrive is no problem, its a racecarNice! As long as the final drive is within that variance you should be good to go.
You don't *need* the M3 parts but they are far stronger. Not sure it is worth the amount of pain I've been going through already (or expenses... sheesh).
