I don't mind paying for a piggy back it'll do more things like launch etc but I like the idea of stock like look and feel when using it.
The drive logic sport buttons, the M3 gear indications on the dash etc. Its more of a seamless experience IMO.

I spoke with them and it seems the device I was told about was for dct swaps and not cars already existing with a dct. We need to find an expert and pay them for their labor, that is really the only option forward. The issue is people with those skills sets aren't selling their time like that.

Is this the list to become a millionaire? Sign me up.

What is the commitment we are making here? You're willing to put $200 toward the development of such a software advancement? $2.00? If so I can open up the donation system.

Mine shifts great.

Doesn't launch well. I'm on the 3500 LC from the 135 for a number of years. Problem is I just figure I'm going to break stuff if I launch this car again and again.

I'd like to improve the moving off in regular road traffic. Sometimes I give it the gas and it races like as if I've floored it. Other times it's like I'm using 10% throttle with the clutch half way depressed. Always with other cars fast approaching on a busy junction.

This is not related to your DCT Software but your tune. Had the same issues with OTS maps and once i started to selftune i started working on the torque request maps and throttle response maps.

Have you checked to see if you have any outstanding SIBs that need to be applied to your car? I had this issue three Or four years ago and there was a SIB that fixed the issue.

Question... For regular road driving, Have you ever had solo jb4 with no bef on the car?

I would happily chip in $500 towards development if we can find someone to take on the project. Anyone else in?

Ok, and before I open up the donation system, I'd need to know who the money would be going to and what the donors would be 'getting' or paying for.

I think this would need to be setup as some kind of "Spoolstreet project" with an open call for bids to different companies who seem to be able helping n54 dct.

I would suggest that you @doublespaces (or any mod from Spoolstreet/representative/Freelancer) creates a specific Thread with the Project Description and the targets and the question how much money actually is needed to get him/them going.

From this direction it would be far easier to a) define the needed cost and b) the target person/company/group.

The Thread could be sent to whoever is likely being able to do it.

Spoolstreet would be the trustee in that case.
Means that if somebody is found the crowd funding can begin and if the target is reached the project winning team starts the development.
Once it is done Spoolstreet exchanges money for tool/software/device.

If you like the idea i am also hear to support you with this project (of course not wanting any money or being the trustee). If you are interested and want to know more about me, shoot me a pm.

What about if we just pool the money and have it as a “prize” for whoever can achieve the result ?

Worthless effort if the "prize" is unattractive. Sounds amateur lvl to me. Do it right the first time.

Seriously, the only people who’ve shown any real interest so far have been amateur enthusiasts

Sorry but can´t follow 100%.

The target group are professionals who we want to create something for us. I prefer the professional way to attract the right ppl.

There’s always been a market for this.

The pros don’t think it’s lucrative enough to invest time. If they did they’d have done it by now. It’s looking less likely as time goes on as this platform is cheaper by the minute
I doubt we’ll raise enough to attract their interest.

Amateurs on the other hand are getting close, closer than ever in fact to cracking this and are much easier to entice to invest “real” time into something.
I’m happy to throw money in and see what comes out.
My expectation would be that those people that threw money in get it first and from there on the tool is made available to any contributing members of spool street for free use
