I currently use a 2.81 gear in a m3 differential and even at 500hp/550tq I feel I am shifting to much and could benefit a taller final drive ratio.

Haha it will be interesting to see how mine feels when I get it on the road within a month hopefully, 3.38 ratio, 8000rpm and 900hp+

Just following up on Steve's post from a month ago. Here is some information on the hardware in the Dodson Motorsport DCT for BMW.

1. Clutch Basket - Made from high-grade billet steel CNC machined rather than pressed
2. Friction Plates - Partnership with industry leaders Exedy. 10 Plates on the Sportsman Plus
3. End Plates - Designed to withstand high torque loading

A note about installation:
Due to the tight tolerances and susceptibility to human error, we like to recommend that installers take advantage of our clutch core exchange program. We send a fully assembled clutch in a protective case ready to be installed. You can offset the cost by returning your old clutch core in the very same case.

In our experience, this is advantageous because it is fast and reduces assembly errors that creep in for even highly skilled installers. When we send a fully assembled clutch our complaints regarding the learning process are next to none. The car is up and running faster, tuners can free up space on their shop floor, it truly is win-win for all involved.

If you want more information regarding specifics, such as how the clutch integrates with vehicle upgrades I would be happy to answer questions as best I can.

I just bought the dudson bmwcss 8 disc clutch pack today for my 2012 335is obviously DCT trans. I also orderes dodson fluids.

In this regards, can you please let me know all your installation process guide and/or can you please send those to my email address [email protected]

Those this clutches hold over 700 wheel torque??

Any advises from your end in regards to the installation process?
Any suggestions in connection to any update to the transmission software? I make this question because somewhere I read about doing some adaptations reset to the transmision. Is this true? Can you advise on this one also?

If there is something else I should be aware of and /or if there is any suggestion from dodson that I did not mentioned above, please let me know.

Your advises will be greately appreciated.

What I learned from this thread was that ssp was probably a better choice for aftermarket clutches on the 335is or dct swapped 335s. There were multiple people who shared experiences of serious problems getting the Dodson clutches to work and then everything working after they switched to ssp. So if I read this thread to get information on how to make my Dodson clutches work well, I would have learned that I should return them and get ssp to save myself the problems that the other people had.
Or, install the Dodson ones and let us know how it goes.

If your based in New Zealand and Australia Dodson would be the ones to chose. From a logistic and practical perspective. Also from reading up, Dodson have released new improved clutch packs. So please no bitching or willy waving please maintain professionalism.
I am based in Auckland, that’s in New Zealand to some of you, who are geographically inept and is where Dodson are based. So it’s a no brainer for me to go visit them seeing as it’s a 20 min drive away. From what I have read the customer service is next to non and I’m very shocked at the immaturity of @SSPKris with subtle digs and jibes.
Stop basing your opinions on old products.
I will all keep you in the loop as to when I get mine seen too!
I will be going for the super stock kit due to my application.
