You smart rascal you. Pretty clever using the OEM aux. rad as a trans cooler. Did you have the connection fittings or how are you connecting the trans lines?

I have the trans fittings from Jason and on the cooler end I'm having 8AN welded on. Got my @AD-ENG 1000hp fmic, charge pipe and oil valve today:
I helped a friend opt in for the groupbuy/beta test.
I believe it was round 1 so I'm sure round 2 are much more revised compared to the 1st ones.
Got the turbos out today. Will remove inlets and finish cleaning up for installation hopefully tomorrow.
I'm particularly thankful for the copper nuts coming off very smoothly. Only one stud came out and they all broke free very smoothly. Probably could have done most of them with a 1/4" drive if I really tried. My biggest issue was the stupid turbo lines, and finding the right T50/extension combination to get one of the nuts off the rear turbo.

Okay it's been a while since my last update. Kid work and life and.... Not having the right tools. I've discovered that the E socket doesn't fully grip on to the exhaust manifold studs. I think it tapers up in size and the tip broke off seven of my studs. In fear of shearing a stud off in the head and needing to pull the engine, I bought a set of stud extractors two day shipping. Silly me, the studs are 7mm and that size wasn't included so I bought one from grainger and paid about $70 for the socket and to have it here today. The studs came out with ease, didn't even need the kano aerokroil I bought.
After that I used a ratching wrench and a T30 bit to unbolt the rear inlet, worked great. Proceeded to cut it off on the bottom using my multi-tool, also went smooth:
At this point I decided to document the installation process a bit since the ADE instructions are for the engine out, so more details on that later. This is where I stopped for the evening:
It might be a couple days before I get a chance to hook up the turbo and continue. More soon.

Damn looks good! Hope you bought stock in band aid, space is tight down there. Kit looks amazing though.
I already had 'red loctite' smeared across a few parts under the car. That is, until I realized I had sliced off the skin on my ring finger knuckle.
Here is the heater core coolant return line for a manual transmission which does not include the heat exchanger port compared to my stock auto line(top). For people doing an external trans cooler, this modification and a manual transmission radiator fully delete the vestigial transmission heat exchanger bits. Part number: 17127548229
Manual CSF radiator is in. Hardest part was getting the lower radiator hose off the stock unit. Have a bucket ready, it dumped on me pretty good.
I'm on the home stretch. Just need to put the subframe back in, hook up my m3 rack and install my trans cooler and tap my head.
It won't rumble much since it still has the stock exhaust, but I have a pair of mufflers and a plan for that too
But first, I need to get this car running. By that time, my coilovers and LSD should be here.
Well, since that last photo I ended up redoing a couple things. I dumped the banjo bolts on the wastegate since they are restricted to much less than 4AN and went with a M10x1 to 1/8 NPT 90 degree fitting (ebay:
201786925202) and converted from 1/8 NPT to 4AN:
Its much cleaner now and my OCD feels better. I also re-adjusted my dump tube while I was at it and needed to adjust the intake pipe away from the radiator so there was enough room for the coolant pipes. This photo might give you an idea how precious space is:
I also got my M3 rack put on about halfway, the plastic tab is broken off so I have no idea if my wheel is going to be pointing straight, I suppose its trial and error now. Tonight, I'll try to finish installing it and get some power steering fluid in and if I have some time, the intake manifold, chargepipe and FMIC.
Oh and something else came in the mail:

Love the wheel. Thats next on my list. (Along with black toe arms) Let us know which style paddles you go with.
For now probably just re-use my stock paddles. I know @Snelson3003 has some paddle options, got anything that would work for me?
Love the details in the turbo kit. I honestly really love this kit more every time I see it. Good idea on those SS wg lines, would be annoying to have one pop off or melt during a run and woops...
Thanks, I can't really compare it to other kits, its tight but it fits and its hidden away from a lot of the components up top.
Time for an overdue update. I finished my turbo install, had a coolant leak due to failing to tighten one of the clamps on the water pump. This almost required I pull the subframe due to the placement of the clamp hex head, but I managed to use tin snips to cut it off and slip a new one on and get it cranked down. I put in some new coolant and found another leak I created while fixing the last one, so a total of about three gallons of coolant wasted, what a mess!

Installed my @AD-ENG oil valve:
And my trans cooler, however the core outlets cause my hoses to rub on the fender liner so I have looped the hose and bypassed the core until I can get it fixed:
My AD-E 1K FMIC is installed. It was at this point I realized that there must be some difference between the AT radiator fan shrouding and the MT shrouding, as my AT shroud didn't match my MT CSF radiator that well. Trimming this shrouding in a couple spots was necessary. Not only that but the convertible brace made things very tight, but it fits without any further/abnormal modification.
I cut out the temp sensor holder and rebolted it back on:
335d snorkel/duct is in:
And my @EOSpeed v2 intake manifold. This thing fits like stock, absolutely no changes necessary, does not hit anything, nothing is tight, the casting is perfect, except maybe some grease smudges
My M3 rack is fully installed minus an alignment. I am not a big suspension/handling person but wow. This totally transforms the way the car feels. Even if I never get the servotronic part working, its totally worth it just from the racecar/arcade feel it gives. I've never been in an E9X M3 before so it was unexpected. In this pic you can see the servotronic valve and the little white connector for the cable:
Right now I'm just going through a few revisions with @CKI@Motiv to get my car dialed in, then I hope to have some more impressions.
