Hi, been following you here because I will eventually be looking to do the same to my Z, do you plan on offering these to members as a kit?
Hello..yes both versions will be offered as kits..

The most basic kit will be the bracket and the associated bolts / nuts / spacers

There will be a second option to include the modified caliper carrier (this requires some basic machining , which not everyone will feel happy about doing)

I will offer full turn key kits but for most I suspect they will want to source their calipers and discs and maybe dust shields from their favourite sources…Aldo shipping / customs may render offering a full kit not economical viable..

On calipers and discs there is a wide variation in cost depending on your preferences…new/old/OE/OEM and discs, slotted , perforated, tier 1 etc etc

There will be full documentation on the matter..a draft which is work in progress is here…. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/qscy...ey=sg0iqvtgmsi100tti9mvjfnoa&st=3thte6hu&dl=0

Rebuilding the M5 rear calipers about to be fitted to my 35is with 370mm discs..decided to do the whole job in-house…fresh seals, pistons, and motor assembly..

For those vaguely interested in how the electronic parking brake aka electromechanical parking brake (EMF) works..here’s some pics of the parts..

So a geared electric motor drives a jackscrew attached to a metal puck that sits inside the piston of a standard sliding caliper disc brake..the screw goes through the outside wall of the caliper via a seal to the motor..there’s some needle roller thrust bearings to take the strain..when the ’handbrake’ is applied an ECU drives the jackscrew forward pushing the piston against the pads..it senses when the current starts to rise indicating that the piston has travelled about as far as it can..it then stops..the ECU receives signals from the DSC to tell what temp it is at..that determines when and how frequently it retightens the jackscrew..in addition the DSC checks to see if the car starts to roll in which case it commands the parking brake ECU to re-apply force…because the motor drives through a planetary gear arrangement the position is locked when power is removed..so no need for constant electrical current..simples !

The upgrade’s front and rear grind on…found E90 35s front brake dust shields could be made to work with some minor trimming ..no way would the M2/M4 work…expensive aluminium in the dustbin…on the rear the M5 dust shields with some fettling could work..

Surprised at how much unswept disc the big Mustang Brembos pads leave on the inner of the annulus..various minor issues with hydraulics…in addition to me destroying seized connectors…

The rear M5/5 series caliper hydraulic connection location means much longer routing ..ie longer pipes

A brief update ..the lack of swept area on the front turned out to be the use of Mustang Shelby 500 not Shelby 350..the 500 pad ..I assume caliper is the same length but not as deep

I had some 350 Ferodo DS2500 pads..so I ordered some DS2500 pads for the rear F series 5 caliper.

I screwed up two of the fixed line fittings..the OE rubber hoses wouldn’t shift despite days of penetrating fluid and torches..

My first long drive ended in ignominy..one of the caliper cradle bolts backed out..had to have the Zed recovered home..

My trip had a colleague whose been building serious shit kit cars for 40 plus years..

He recommended some very expensive Swedish lock washers..I didn’t use the OE BMW calipers cradle bolts..they were rusty..on examination these bolts have a primitive anti shake proof washer design…so fresh bolts with new washers and lots of loctite..

I’ll monitor things closely…

The good news is the 370mm disc adapter bracket for stock F series caliper (not M5) can be used with only some machining of the caliper cradle..

Every day is a school day..

I have been running this kit for the past 3-4 years and been quite happy with it. Its the dicase kit, i replaced the rubber caps with brembo ones and the brake pads with EBC yellow F+R.
Fronts:
380 mm 6 piston calipers
Rears (believe these are the same as the calipers on GTRs
380 mm 4 piston calipers

Interesting ..so how does the rear brakes work?..you have two calipers per wheel..one ‘normal’ and one for the EFB?

They don’t seem to list E89 parts any more ?

The small calliper is similar to the bmw design with two brake pads that are actuated by the electric motors. The round black cnc adapter comes on the electric motors of the epb and is a screw type press that sandwiches the pads onto the rotor.

And the other one is a normal calliper as you described.

Maybe they don’t sell them anymore, i can ask if you are interested, i have the sales agent’s whatsapp details.

Thnx for the speedy reply…I’m too far in to my version to look at other options..but..always interested in other options for other folks..
