Sorry to bump a thread that’s a few months old.

Having trawelled through it, I’m making the decision of either xhp or from what it seems is there an alternative available off here? (Obviously willing to pay)
Am seeking a version of the gts mapping and clutch line pressure upping…

Is there a way of this without xhp?

Car is 2011 N55 pwg - m4 flywheel - pure 500 turbo

Cheers

Luke

Very great resource for someone new to the platform like me. Seems like I will be skipping xHP and contacting olza

hi guys.
jes there a consensus here about using "linear throttle" in MHD when usinf XHP stage 3 too?
I read somewhere that OEM throttle logic has to be keep in order to make XHP gear change works properly....
I'm using linear trhottle for years now and like it but i don't want to destroy XHP team work because o f that.

thanks!

I had no doubt about the fact that linear throttle could cause issue but i read that upshift rpm can be disturbed by a no OEM throttle mapping...
Dis you (or other people) try to compare that point between OEM and linear throttle?

Thanks

when I flashed xHP with the factory throttle settings, my soft limiter would engage sooner than normal, around 6300 rpm. When I would flash the stock DCT tune, I did not have that issue. I asked xHP for help and they said it has nothing to do with their flash, even though I proved it was because of their flash.

I resolved the issue by raising redline in my flash.

I don’t know if linear throttle would have the same issue but I don’t see why it wouldn’t because the issue would occur with the xHP flash.

thanks for your feedback.I don' have such problem with my car but i never rev more than 6/6.5k rpm
I sent an email @XHP team and they replied to me that i can't use linear throttle in MHD with my DCT because it will change the BMW or XHP tune logic.

I asked them too if i can keep OEM throttle map but change the throttle delay and they replied to me that they don't know what is throttle delay in mhd app...

So i will try to remove linear throttle in MHD but keep throttle delay @90% to improve throttle response.

Which engine / DCT combo is that?..

I’m running linear throttle with M throttle lag..on a MHD custom tune with xHP stage w on a N54 z4 DCT..

my car is a z4 35is
I ran linear throttle for months without any problem but i think that in auto mode , OEM throttle should be better to respect the upshift rpm logic from BMW or XHP.

I found rpm upshift too low in normal mode and just ok in sport mode with linear throttle.

I tried OEM throttle yesterday and i have to confirm my first feedback but it feel better in auto mode.

No difference in manual mode.

When I was doing my pulls for the tune it would always up shift about 6,500 rather than run to the red line..maybe thats why?

Interesting. I’m dct n55 and don’t have any issues running linear throttle.
