Nice! So if you are out in the Maryland area, there are these guys - Mandrel Bend Solutions .... and yep, they have a huge German mandrel bending machine, so there stuff comes out quasi factory.
You should have just bought our Phenolic spacer no need to mess with copper spray, just use OEM gaskets and done!

metal manifolds retain a lot of heat , main cause is due to metal on metal contact when bolted down to head
Not sure how that spacer is made, but we cut grooves to fit OEM gaskets in ours and then there is no need to use copper spray to make the seal.
One of justins selling points is not using a second set of oem gaskets, getting heat reflective properties of the copper, and getting the whole surface area as sealing area instead of just the gaskets that may melt and blow out. Not docking either products, i just find it curious how both of you think one option has a negative over the other.
yea just a battle of wits at this point lol, but I see their arguments. its a tough call that i cant make. i respect both mike and justin. so i rather just listen to what they both have to say and just absorb all the info i can.
Never really heard of OEM gaskets melting in any applications, that being said I am sure both methods work just fine, one is just a lot less messy than the other!

I have mikes spacer. Works great. I've never heard of anyone melting an OEM gasket, only aftermarket stuff sold by companies selling cheap PI kits. The gaskets make the car more serviceable and if the gaskets never fail then this is a moot point. Run the one you like, and for me that means not spraying the sticky copper spray all over it when I have to put it on or take it off. I still have a big can of that from my T4 flange and if you don't install it in time the spray dries and the tacky stuff doesn't adhere as well. Also, not sure if you need to strip the old spray off when installing your spacer later on, say 4 or 5 times down the road you've got how many layers of that stuff on there? Personally I prefer my car to go together without relying on a chemical reaction, but again thats just my 2 cents. If you're not a doofus like me when installing, I'm sure it doesn't matter.
Most def... from an audio engineers uneducated guess it would be super bright sounding
