VI Engineered Top Mount Single Turbo Kit

@chrisdfv how’d the install go? Any problems? And how’s the car feel with this kit on it? Did you end up needing anything that wasn’t included in the kit? Looks great by the way!

Install wasn't bad. I had a bunch of friends help and we got it done over a weekend. Things I purchased that weren't included in the kit were the donut gaskets for the manifold to the head, a new gasket for the water pipe, vacuum hose, some misc tape, and heat tubing. The kit includes a 50ft roll of exhaust wrap.
Car feels great. It's obviously not instant spool like stock turbos, but after 1500 rpm it feels normal under daily driving conditions. Power comes on fast, and the powerband is linear now(I prefer this). I no longer have the crazy mid range torque to just blow the tires off.

I dyno'd around 460/400 on wastegate 15-17psi with very low timing.

that's some nice and linear power right there. nice to see some fab shop start using some real turbos.

10 degrees of timing peak(6k)

I got a GTX3582R gen 2 and trust me im not rich. When your dropping 5K on a single kit, and probably an additional 5K in supporting mods/drivetrain/traction to be able to use the power of the single kit, whats another few hundred bucks for the best turbo? drop in the bucket imo

from a quick google search im seeing dual ball bearing gen 2 precision 6466 turbos for 1970$ and the GTX3584RS Gen 2 for 2450$ or so lol

The kit itself was done in about 4 weeks, but Jon had to wait on Garrett to send him a turbo a while. I didn't receive it until December.
