Got the fibreglass doors fitted and actually really impressed with the fitment considering they are FRP. Decided to paint the frame black to blend in more with the trim which I think was a good choice.

Its only a week until I get it to an actual track (Santa Pod) so we can finally see what it runs on a prepped surface. I've no grip in 1st and 2nd at my local track so I'm hoping for a vast improvement on the 60ft as 0.1 off the 60ft equates to around 0.2-0.3 off the ET. I'm also back on E40.

I've never actually been to a prepped track, any tips or help for launching on the glued surface with slicks would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to break anything.

Managed to make it down to Santa Pod and finally get the car on a proper prepped track.

Ran a 10.92 @ 127mph. The surface cut my 60ft from 2.01 down to 1.63 but slowed my mph I'm assuming due to the higher rolling resistance thanks to the prepped surface.

As reference I ran 11.8 on my latest outing and a PB of 11.4 (when the car was lighter) at my local track. Just goes to show how the surface can effect the times.

Car definitely had a 10.8 in it but due to one lane being closed I only got 3 runs despite being there from 0930 to 1700. At the end of the day the tree was going immediate green as soon as you staged in an effort to speed things up so I felt a bit rushed and ran another 10.9.

Great day overall and the car was absolutely flawless.

Excellent runs. Yes traction does make a difference in the times and you find when you are launching quicker your top end speed does drop a little. Another tenth off your 60' time and a 10.8s run is achieveable.

Congrats on 10 seconds!!
Thanks mate I'm over the moon as I knew the car had it in it, just was being held back by the poor surface. These wee stock turbos are trying their damnedest šŸ˜‚

I already have a few solutions for the kinks I wasn't prepared for so really think a 10.8 is very achievable
