Any updates on this project? would it be possible to mate the bmw 6mt trans to an LS swap or would it be more work than its worth vs going 4L80 or similar?

Personally I would put a t56 family trans with a Ford 8.8, depends on your power goals and what you want to do. There's a lot of manual and auto options for the engine
