Opinions on FrankenTurbo F21Bi Turbo Upgrade

No idea why you're being so defensive. Please do not try to discredit everything, not everyone has a stake in this.

I have ZERO skin in this game. In fact, I'm considering purchasing a CTS-V soon and selling my 335i.

I merely pointed out that a lot of the things you were looking for were already posted multiple times on multiple forums and that possibly Doug didn't answer your questions because of this. Its obvious that there are people out there with an agenda and while you may not have tried to discredit him and his product, you can see by the responses (especially the people rating the responses) that there are people out there that are pushing for his failure on this product regardless of whether its deserved or not.

I'm not advocating for or against Doug and his turbos. I'm advocating that people that have them speak up and the rest of us wait to see the results before trying to praise or bury him, period.

So what you're suggesting is that a vendor refused to answer my questions, which were sent privately through direct email to his business, because there may or may not be answers available on an unaffiliated internet forum I may or may not use?

Regardless of the quality and longevity of VTT turbos, any knowledge shared to help a consumer make an informed decision is a good thing.

Maybe a forum member sees this thread and sees some merit from both Doug and Tony, and then decides they don't feel comfortable buying from either. If Tony willingly shoots himself in the foot to shed light on Doug, that's Tony's choice. Same goes for Doug.

Sure but how can you take anything he says seriously if he’s whole MO is shitting on top of every other vendor that’s not VTT ?

If showing you proper turbocharger tech, and pointing out flaws in other designs (based on their own marketing photos) as well as deceptive marketing is something you are not interested in, maybe you should rethink, and buy Frankenturbo, you seem like his ideal customer. Uneducated on the product, and susceptible to deception based on this lack of knowledge is who he feeds on.

Anyone can buy them. I emailed them and asked and they just sent me a link to the item with options to put in the cart. With the turbos, inlets, install kit, and new oil drain pipes it came out to $2500 (including shipping). Thats why these appeal to me so much. I dont want 700 hp, so an affordable turbo upgrade sounds nice. I just want to make sure these wont just crap out after 5000 miles.

I'm sure they won't die in 5000. They have a warranty just like any other turbos, $2500 is not that cheap though compared to what else is on the market. Although, they aren't stock frames, so no wastegate rattle? I hate wastegate rattle, lol.

I have a set, only have about 1500ish miles or so now, but those are constant 28psi miles. They are taking the abuse so far, but again, too early to tell for longevity.
