Sure,
On the 1400 nm version I wanted to know what you meant by harder pedal feel. I know that is a subjective question but Im trying to compare it to something else like a spec stage 3 . Is it something that is going to make daily driving in traffic a pain?
Typically twin disk clutches have one of the plates sprung and the other a solid hub. From the pictures I am seeing both plates are solid hubs. Could you provide more details or information on this? I would like to know how engagement is on this with 2 solid hubs. Is it possible to get some videos from inside the car depicting clutch engagement and some videos of the car shifting? Ive had a twin disk clutch before and the engagement made street driving a challenge, although it was not 2 full face plates which I am assuming will make engagement a lot smoother with your kit.
Do you have an estimates on lead time on the kit and lead time on replacement parts?
Is the throw out bearing an upgraded metal one or the bmw plastic version?
Thanks
I never drove a spec 3+ myself. But i have a few friends around here, who run Spec. Odd is that one of them has a really stock like pedal and the other one a really hard pedal... The 1.400NM has a quite hard pedal feel, hard to describe how it feels with words. What Setup do you run in your car? Maybe for daily driving the 1000NM Version would be the better one for you. This one is 100% daily friendly.
Both clutches are solid! Engagement is really really nice, because of two organic discs. It feels like it is almost impossible to stall. Engagement is good in both Versions the 1000NM and the 1.400NM Version, because both use the organic discs.
We decided to use solid clutch discs, because of longevity. The Sprung discs all broke during heavy and Long usage. Also sprung discs doesn´t really make a difference when used in Organic discs, because they already have a smooth move off.
What discs did your Prior twin disc had? Our main feature why the clutch is so streetfriendly are the two organic discs!
All parts are ready to deliver, same with replacement parts. Although like i told, it´s better and cheaper if you want to have new discs to send them back to us. Delivery from here to US should take a week i think- tbh i don´t have experience with shipping to USA yet. But i am sure we will get you a good shipping rate with a short delivery time!
The Throw out Bearing is OEM BMW Version. Please Google for opinions on the metal throw out bearings from spec and other clutches- you won´t find a lot of good Reviews. The stock bearing work´s really well!
All in all our Approach is it to use as much as "OEM Style" Parts as possible, because the OEM Clutches in most of the cars are really designed for working for a Long time with stock power. We just improve all things so that the clutch can handle more power but still drives nice and will function for a Long time.
I will try to do a Video of my car. also i attached a few Pictures of different installs etc.
If you look carful you will notice, that the shaft style of the discs are different. We changed the design, because the design on the first photos is really hard to get and with that design the clutch would be much more expensive. There is no difference in function or anything else!
