Pop a low mile stock block in and continue your good maintenance
I’m leaning towards that being the smart way to go For sub 700hp, big cost savings and guaranteed to be properly assembled/ tolerances in check, etc.. thanks for your input.

103 000km block here, been tuned since it had 37 000km.
First JB4 fairly conservative map 1 for maybe 10 000km, then quickly ramped up to map 7 with all the supporting mods and E85 blend.
Now, i've been running the Hydra HP800 for 33 000km, first at 16-17psi straight E85 for maybe 20 000Km, aftert that, with the VCV tables, 21psi straight E85.
Car ran a 5.99s 100-200 with that boost, and no signs of weakness so far. Engine is not the healthiest as it burns through a fair amount of oil, 1L every 1500km roughly, but it has been that way for a long time and the compressions are alright.
I really don't intend to run more than 21psi whatever happens, what i do intend to do tho, is get a N53 head with cams.
Assuming i can get the neccesary fueling, 21psi with a very nice flowing head and cams should net close to 700hp.
If i can't get the fueling, i'd just run the engine at 16psi with the N53 head, should be fairly close to the power i have now, with more torque and better drivability.

Omar and I are in the process of tuning my cammed N53/HP800 mutt now on straight 93. Having driven a couple cars with big hybrids and one ST converted E92, I can say the N53 head makes ALL the difference.

Engine out, head off was a great time to do all the maintenance, add a hub lock, and change the bearings. As well as I take care of my car it's amazing how many leaks we found.

I have been using Renewable Lubricants 5W40 Biosyn Extra for a few years years now. I use to lose about a quart every 3-4k but with the biosyn, I no longer need to top off between changes. Its regarded as one of the toughest oils around when it comes to E85 fuel dilution and sheer strength , ( very important for turbo engines). I was weary of a BIO based veggie oil but those fears turned out to be unfounded. Blackstone reports showed much better TBN and wear than the Motul Xcess I had ran previously. RLI oils use antimony as their key AW additive, expensive but effective from what research I've done and personal experience. I will post Blackstone reports when I find them. I run GC's @ 25psi with e85 and typically change oil every 3-4k miles but will be going to 5k intervals based on Blackstone's advice. RLI still had a lot of life left in it on my last change @3,800 miles.
