N54 cyl 5 timing drop

Mods in sig. Around 27psi on franken turbo's.

Then after a few tune revisions, when I up the boost on e90, my avg ign is around 3ish. No way in hell e90 is knocking. Got a case of the phantom knock. ALso disabled misfire detection above 6300. She pulls hard, dosnt miss a beat. So something is tripping the knock/misfire detection. Apparently from what ive read, its a famous problem with auto's and higher power.

Also, not all cylinders recover timing post shift (apparently thats an auto thing thing, but not too many ppl have that issue, but it is out there)

Do you run a jb4 ? Have you tried raising up pi ? My car ran better / relieved timing drops as I turned up pi.

Yea I have jb4. And I havnt raised pi as fuel trims, and hpfp numbers are perfect.

Care to share some logs ? Dig runs and a 3rd gear pull ? What plugs ? What gap ?

3rd and 4th. Plugs are NGK 95770 gapped to .020 (0.18 and 0.22 do the same thing). Boost tapers down to prevent the misfire (before I disabled misfire detection above 6200). Gonna raise it back up and do a few more pulls.

Cyl 4 doesnt look too happy post shift. Hows the trans holding up under that power ?? Im at 25 psi and have ran 26 but I dont need anymore trans issues. Went through it 3x and im finally happy with it. Have you ever put it on a dyno ?

Exactly. Some cyl recover, some do not post shift. And so far its holding up lol. And I am still tuning it. Just ran into these issues haha. Car pulls strong. I will dyno it when I feel its at its maxed/best lol.

I havent tried 27 psi, but at 26 its fine. No misfires or hiccups. I prefer the 2 step colder plugs for my car and gapped them at .019

Yeah at 24psi is fine too, thats why boost tapers off to 24 up top haha. But I have goals for this car, so that 24 is gonna have to be 27-28 lol

If I recall correctly, Cobb could monitor and/or log
Battery voltage. If so, then MHD should also be able to log battery voltage.
