I'll take N54 selective memory for 200 Alex. Way back when Tony was testing shaft speed sensors and collecting a bunch of other data on Stage 2 turbos 7 years ago, he also had a crankcase sensor in place. The data was interesting, showing some pressure, but nothing extreme. I believe I remember no one really being interested at the time. I also agree with the others. Why try to work this into your FF tune. Just get any number of cheap data logging tools, and you can track any number of sensors. AEM AQ1 which we still use can take 8 inputs.
Where could one find this data? Is it on a forum or somewhere else? I would be interested in taking a look.

There is so much more "low hanging fruit" than maximizing the PCV system. Installing a catch can to prevent oil from building up in the intake tract or dumping on the ground makes sense. Anything further really seems like a waste of money IMO. You guys have to pull the "vendor wool" away from your eyes and look at other platforms. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel. Hope this helps. This is so very very very true. We get emails basically daily with people completely wrapped up in the PCV on these cars, that have googled so much they are more confused than when they started. We tell them, we offer catch cans, Install a catch can, block the head ports, go external PCV, either Recirc or VTA and be done with it. If you are building a mega horsepower purpose-built N54 and want to be on the forefront, put a vacuum pump on it. Done

If it's on another forum then it's not a matter of selective memory, I don't go to other forums for obvious reasons.

imo the worst part of logging is to get everything to sync... canbus would be great but not everything has been reverse engineered and published
i guess now would be a great time for @doublespaces to build an arduino/esp32 thingy and start logging away :)

I'd rather not make anything too permanent, maybe I can just connect a stepdown to the two poles on the passenger strut tower area?

I don't know shit about electronics, which one would you guys buy if any? This thing only takes a few miliamps right?

I've used different converters like these before. the problem is that in an Automotibe environment you need pretty active regulation. Any sway in the 5v input will screw with the sensors output. And since batt+ is 12v to 15v normally some of the super simple converters may not achieve very stable results. definatly install and test that the 5v stays 5v as you drive

Issue here is that input voltage is going to constantly vary due to the voltage regulator. So I suppose the most stable source will be one that is built into the vehicle, or something more expensive

yes, thats exactly what i found as well. Personally id just wire tap into a 5v to say the tmap in the electronics box. that way you can remove it later if you wanted without worry about damaging the wire insulation. Or make a tap harness/adapter using replacement terminals pins in the ecm harness/connectors. Like the jb4 NLS wire

IIRC, orange powers the ECA and must be hooked into the DME as it provides the steady 5v required (separate from conti E sensor power, which is 12v). Green is the E% output, which you could voltmeter and read. Conversion data points can be found in the XDF.

Can you tap into your FF ECA orange wire without any adverse affects @doublespaces ?
