I can show you a show you a single dyno that makes 600 tq at 4k fwiw. You just need the right sized turbo for your application and a tuner who knows what they are doing and what the customer wants imo.

Why not go for the full stage 3 twin turbos from vtt vs. The Chinese twins if you are stuck on vtt and twins?

And just one thing I want to mention: Garrett Turbochargers are made in China and Mexico. I am guessing that most, if not all "quality" Turbochargers are made in China, Mexico, or somewhere else that isn't the US. VTT aside, I am guessing that MMP, RB, Pure, etc are all also made in places outside of the US.

Just because a part is made in China doesn't automatically dictate that it's sub-par, a piece of junk, or of poor quality. There is definitely a possibility that, that is a case; but it's not a guarantee.

I own many things that were made in China - my iPhone being one of them. I consider it a quality piece of engineering.

please tell us of the tricks for twin reliability. i have a new set here that are in a box that i am debating putting in due to reliability. i usually do 15 track days a year, sometimes test and tune days where the track is hot for 8 hours and i can be out there for 45 minutes if i am focused. stockers never let me down. and ive had a silicone hot side charge pipe for 2 years now, its fine besides a few times it blew off where it connects to the fmic, my fault since i trimmed it a little too much, needed to make the adapter a little longer, i half assed it using a piece of muffler bended pipe you can pick up at the local auto store.

I can't go too far in depth with it at this time, but basically the entire oiling and cooling system for the twins is being re-designed from the ground up and should provide significant improvements in reliability. I'll be logging data to either confirm (or deny) that there is a difference.

Which is particularly important if you plan to retain traction control (which is a big deal IMO). We're at this fueling crossroads with our build right now. We've found that if running above the max HPFP limits the options for fueling at this moment are:
1) Run PI but lose Traction Control (otherwise possible ultra-lean conditions when TCS kicks in)
2) Run standalone and keep TCS (read: $$$$)
3) Run a shotgun setup and keep TCS (best bang for your buck, but undetermined reliability/longevity in a road course environment)

I am rolling the dice and ended up going with PI to hit my 600whp goal. It will be a wild ride in the rain. I wasn't a fan of the shotgun setup on the track because I felt I would end up with option 1 after that setup failed.

Not too much to update right now. Waiting on a large shipment from VTT which should come at some point in April. No point in pulling the motor before then, so sitting on my hands for the moment. The M3 is still with the body shop as well, so can't really do much there either.

Essentially, the goal is to provide more cooling capacity to the turbos via additional coolers and pumps. Until I get my hands on the new turbos and have some time to piece it all together I won't be able to provide much info beyond that.

To answer the fueling question the plan is to run on straight E85 for better cooling. It's also a lot cheaper than race gas lol.

That’s what I thought. I’ve just never seen e85 at a pump at a track. Figure you’ll bring your own.

Yeah, I have accumulated a lot of gas cans over the years, so I will probably just load them up the day before. There will definitely be times where I will have to switch over to race gas though just due to availability.

Just to inform:

i ran Upgraded Turbos (just Stage 2 Turbos- TTE550) on 20PSI for around 1,5Year with a lot of trackdays and never had any Problems.
Now i switched them for a new solution which will be introduced in the next days (similiar to Vargas when it Comes to size) and i neither had Problems yet...

You just Need to see, how much boost you can run, because you will get to the Point where everything is far too hot.
