I realized I never really ended this thread, so here goes:
I put the CTS Stage 2 turbos back on my car and set it at what I thought was 17psi. It felt stupid fast, wouldn’t hold traction at all in 2nd and spun going into 3rd. I then decided to upgrade my map sensor, can’t remember why, only to find out that my Amazon replacement map sensor I bought cause I was cheap was lying to me, and I had adjusted wgdc to hold approximately 24 psi according to the new continental sensor. I turned it back down to safer power levels and the timing corrections went away (surprise). Unfortunately, I realized that 1) I had a single car and was living 5 hours from my parents garage, 2) I had put 36,000 miles on the car in a year (meaning it had 208k), 3) I didn’t want to invest more money in it, and 4) I had a chance to get a W211 E63 AMG for dirt cheap. So I sold the 335, bought the AMG, and hated it, so I bought an E36, then sold that to my dad, sold the AMG, and I’ve had a pile of other vehicles since. I’ve also moved 7 times in the past 2 years and gotten married. Needless to say, ditching the 335 when I did was the best decision at that time. That brings us to 2025, when my wife and I have a Chevy 2500hd and a Grand Cherokee. I’m itching to own another BMW, but I want to do it right this time and not make all the experienced forum users question my sanity. Definitely going to be a sedan, ST, port injection, etc.
