Hi hope everybody is having a nice start to their holidays.

I took the car out for a drive and it felt underpowered, like it wasn’t coming on to boost properly and then there was a misfire on the way home. Took this log but didn’t capture the misfire. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Looks ok to me. Normal boost levels or Stage2 OTS.

For the misfire, pbondar has the right order of affairs. Old coils are the most likely.

Have you got fresh plugs n coils ?..injectors ? Age ? Index number ?
Thanks for the reply! Plugs and coils both done less than a year ago, and index 12 injectors but unsure of age. Is it normal for boost to be so under target? It feels like it takes so long for boost to build

Okay thanks I did buy new coils and plugs six months ago though but might be time to hit ECS for some new coils, this was an older log I did and the boost is much closer to target, do you think maybe it’s just turbo age that’s stopping boost from building like it used to ?

Well the boost target in the 2 plots is very different..?in fact the one you’re having issues looks a bit odd to my eyes..almost like a limiter is coming in..

That second log has a chunk of missing data during spool. Just an mhd logging glitch. Otherwise they would look the same

Looks fine to me. Actual boost = Target boost. Maybe you got used to driving one of them battery cars lately, and forgot how slow the N54 could seem. 😃

Thats what I thought too! It felt restricted.. I checked the codes this morning and there was a superknock on cylinder 1.. could this be related maybe? I put a higher octane fuel in to lift the octane in the tank as I thought it could be shitty fuel

Oh dang I didn’t know that, so target boost is the actual boost reading? 🙂

No, he's saying your boost is ~on target. If the car suddenly feels slower than it used to and your logs used to look better, you could have a leak, but all I really see is it took a little bit to reach peak boost but held it well after that. Looks normal for 115k mile turbos to me.
