Basically yes, i did a 5.99s 100-200kmh on straight E85 with just a single barrel and the VCV tables. So stupid question. You buy a VTT shotgun or helix, update the tables in the VCV thread and you are good to go?
Marty is a VTT shill. He is not the least bit unbiased, he is severely biased. Just something people should be aware of when they read his posts. They are in business together.
I have never seen someone without a vendor title push products so hard. He is VTT's Australian lap dog and humps their leg every chance he gets.
Speaking of VTT what did they do to get banned from the forum this time? They are like a revolving door. Banned constantly on forums left and right, finally get unbanned and then banned again. It is so weird how drama follows them everywhere(not).
Also, the shotgun kits still ship with the wrong sized belt after how many years? You will want to swap it out with the right sized belt if you get it.
Helix gets my vote or wait for more hpfp solutions to come to the market.
No issues with my double shotgun, belt was the right size and all. Been on the car nearly 1 year.
Pretty sure when the Helix originally came out there was a discussion about that. Someone did the math on the size of the pulley and determined the shotgun was a tad over 3.1, and the helix was bang on 3.I've always wondered if the single barrel spins the pump faster than the helix 3x.
https://www.spoolstreet.com/threads/correct-shotgun-belt.6608/ <-- Well documented in a few other threads as well.
@doublespaces did a really good write up btw if anyone has not scene it: https://www.spoolstreet.com/threads/vtt-double-shotgun-installation.2998/
The single shotgun supports just under 600whp on 100% E85. However that means the fuel system maxed out. Do you really want to run a fuel system 100% maxed out? Not for reliability you don't. If you want north of 575whp on 100% e85 you need the double shotgun, not the single. This should be kept in mind when comparing the products and their true costs all in.
