Engine mount suggestions?

running stock mounts + vtt engine mount spacer at the moment
aftermarket mounts melted on me even with heatshields so i gave up running them

I hadn't heard of these but just looked them up, they seem like a pretty cool idea! How long have you been running them, and what are your impressions so far regarding nvh?

I'm wondering if as the engine mount ages if the rubber sinks and the mount brackets bolted to the motor could start to clank against these?

Had them for a while, no issues and had to be pried off the mounts. Still have the plates somewhere. No NVH increase whatsoever but did raise the engine relative to the strut braces.

Another option is the VTT motor mount inserts. I think I have been running them for over three years now.

I got the black "race" version.

I installed after these aluminum IRP mounts, so it was a pretty drastic decrease in NVH. No comparison with OEM mounts, sorry.

How was the feeling with the IRP Mounts?
I know, there is some nois and vibrations coming through. But how was it on track?

They felt great, as expected. Zero slop. My car is 80% street car though.

The powerflex bushings remind me of E46 RTAB limiters - same concept. I really think someone should make urethane inserts that go between the rear subframe and chassis - like a slotted U insert. This would maintain the rubber NVH properties while limited subframe movement.
