Crankshaft Compatibility for New Engine Block (N54, 8-Bolt Crankshaft)

Hi everyone,

I have an N54 engine with an 8-bolt crankshaft, but I’m dealing with a scratched cylinder 6 wall. I’m planning to buy a new engine block and was wondering if I can reuse my current crankshaft on the new generation block.

I’m particularly concerned about any potential differences in the main and rod bearing sizes between the blocks. Has anyone done this swap or knows if the compatibility is 100%?
