CIC Patching and FSC Signing

You use the 1b file generated by the fsc tools and then use that (the file seb sent you) to generate the FSC code, then you either load the code via controller or you insert it in to the 28 file (if you have it) and use FSTools to load it (like the 1b,17,19,9c fsc files)
If you get stuck let me have the 1b file and I will generate the fsc for you.

Thanks to those on this thread who have helped to date. I got FStool connected. Get Status returns this. The Sig cert was from me experimenting. But I the FSC Status rejected is where I am stuck. Is there a guide somewhere for the generation signing etc. My cic is a donor unit and Im guessing the FSC is rejected because the VIN is now matching my car. it took 3 laptops and a VM before I got this connection with my trusty old dell D630 on XP
Hi @ all i search for a longtime for a working fstool. I already download the Version 02.02.01. But i have connection Problem. I installed Inpa correctly and It work. I need for CIC on my e92. Can anybody help please? If some one has a working Version of fstool. I cant find any other Version. Thank

So I have a late E series E82 with CIC (not sure on it's version) but it is a 2013 BMW 135i so I'm assuming is one of the latest CIC version before jumping to the F platform.
I've always wanted to have BMW Apps (6NR VO) in my iDrive... tried to code it years ago but I understand I need an FSC code from BMW, so I didn't bother to continue on my research...
I don't need any FSC code for maps, I already have that one done successfully by buying a FSC lifetime CIC Maps update code. But for BMW Apps (6NR) is there already a way to get this code generated?? If so, the next obvious question: How?

The last update of CIC is C1A and can be hacked so you can generate your own FSC codes. Specifically for apps.
I went to the trouble of doing it but to be honest for 200usd get yourself an apple car play/android auto box. it’s a much better interface with modern features and it’s wireless

I recently aqcuired my first beemer, 2012 X6M (with less than 25K mi). Been reading a lot and configured using NCSExpert some features like double blink hazard lights, auto-folding side mirrors, etc.
My car doesn´t have apps and satellite radio and want to enable them, i have CIC C1A but since i am a noob i really apreciate your help to solve this. Besides this i bought from the 'bay the media snap in adapter 84212351308 so i can use my vintage 4th gen ipod touch thru the cradle (by now it only charges it).
My VIN shows that i have this media options enabled:

If you like to tinker and you like a challenge then - Apply the C1A patch. Get the FSCs and enjoy the rabbit hole that is coding!. Im not the foremost expert on it and its been a while - Apps will work on any CIC. Satellite radio will depend on whether your car and CIC unit has the hardware receiver built in. I would start by looking into that. You need to remove the unit from the car and have a look at the back... Whilst you have the CIC out....
My opinion is that the apps arent worth the trouble. They are over a decade old now. The interface is clunky and whilst the satisfaction of unlocking it is huge it left me wondering what the fuss was about
My advice - Consider getting an apple carplay adaptor instead... I wish id known that they existed sooner. I bought one and its frankly a much better user experience than the apps. It plugs into the CAN bus network so you use iDrive to control it. It intercepts the screen LVDS cable and its wireless(wifi and Bluetooth)
For the amount of money (can be found for less than 300 eu ) its a much better result and a better upgrade. Honestly !
Since youre a 2012 you already should be able to stream music via bluetooth as youll have a combox, youll love it.

I think i have done some progress:
I FA_WRITE $6NF and & $655 and now i can see Satellite option on headunit´s radio (can´t change channels, ESN is empty).
Installed fsctools v2.18 (i guess it´s working because it shows fscs and vin from my car)
Installed fstools2 v2.0.2.1 (same here, in communicates with the car)
Virginized the CIC (now all certifactes are in red),
I tried to sign fsc certificates without success... i guess i need another version of fstools2 (v02.02.00) ...i´ve seen some guy used that version on ytube...
By any chance, do you have this version? so far i haven´t locate it on the web.

Does anyone here have a good link for FSTool_v20211.exe. . I have been trying to finish my CIC retrofit for 10 months now, & my CIC will me outdated by the time I get the retrofit for the Nav completed. I wish I would have tried the NBT, but I di not think it would work on my car based on the different processors.

Does FSTools run thru its own EC-APPS, or should it run thru its own EC-APPS? No matter how I load it, I get 2 EC-APPS folder. I really not sure where & how the program should load. Pic below to show what I am running into. I did go ahead & give the complete EC-APPS folder, admin rights.

No idea why it's doing that. Mine didn't create that extra FSTools v20211 folder. Did you remove older version first?

I loaded correctly this time, but still the same problems Below some screenshots, so I think it loaded properly, in the correct place. I don't know why it loaded correctly this time, but it did. I had to reinstall Carserver & FSTools2 again to get it to load correctly. I think the problem could be from Carserver, but that is just a guess at this point? This should load by obd2 from what I read, but is ICOM really needed for this? I tried it around a week ago, but the only thing I noticed different was the speed.

I loaded FSTools to a thumb drive last night to look at only the files that came from the program itself. After comparing the files on my C: drive to the flash drive, I started noticing there was a big difference. The old FSTools runs Carserver off of VServer, but there is different " Server " version. in that directory. I also noticed that it wants you to run from an ICOM, through the remote.ini file in Ediabas. So this would make a little sense why the program would not work on my PC anyway. With no directions to work off of, things like this happen. I am going to go thru the rest of the files tonight, to determine how to properly run the program. I will load the program again tomorrow, to see if it will work after all of the changes are made.
