It's worked ok for me, I've had it hooked up for hours.
Agreed that the server power supply is the best unit for the money.
I'll just use some xt90s and other random shit I have laying around. put a resistor across it's pads to lock it at 13.8. call it done.
I was getting along fine, but now I'm inspired to just do it properly and have a big ass power supply.
wish I'd seen this earlier, I could have really helped out on your dc power connector problems.
