Cerakote, and jet hot to a degree. If you want a real thermal barrier coating you need something like the white lightning coating by swaintech. If you’re really concerned with under hood temps, you need the ceramic fiber and inconel blankets on the manifold/dp, header wrap, and/or a quality turbo blanket.Is that specific to cerakote, or all ceramic coating. Heavily advertised to reduce under hood temps.
Any chance you’d give a ballpark price range it cost you?Word. I've just gotten my manifold, turbine housing and downpipes coated with White Lightning. It may not be the prettiest, but I believe it's still the best.

They say good things come to those that wait.. Four years ago I won a raffle with with Steed Speed that allowed to me have any one of his current manifolds. I was following him prior to this because he did a prototype of the N54 turbo and at the moment I don't think there was any bottom mount kits available. I know his work on the E46 M3 manifold produced great results and I kept asking for updates if he was going to continue his project.
When I won I told him what I wanted and long story short it took 4 years, and me asking for an update just about every few months. Well I sold my 335 that I wanted to put it on and picked up a last year build / month E61 N54 M-sport as a daily. Perfect for mountain biking and snowboard trips.
Come today I now have this the manifold in my hands.
I was planning on going ST with the Wagon and I already test fitted a AC-F thanks to @Torgus lending me his new kit. There is more than enough room on a E61 for a top mount but bottom is another story. Over the new few weeks I will be talking with CES about turbo options, trying to source out turbos for test fitting and seeing how the AWD axle and Motor mount come into play with clearance. If things work I will be making a kit around manifold.

haha yes we spoke about this a few years ago. I talked to Leen about it also and he was fine with it but I could never pull the trigger. I might of kept my 335 if I had this sooner but I had my eyes on the F80 or switching platforms. A ST wagon should be fun though and I think its a first for at least the E61, hopefully all goes well.
I was thinking of trying to do a budget turbo build with this, but i don't think a ST build you can really say "Budget". Any ideas for turbos, looking for Good spool around 600whp.
