Ok, just installed new controller on Saturday. Went for some drives over the last couple of days... this is very promising. The deletion of the hobbs switch has made the throttle response more graduated and predictable. There is a smoother transition to port injection operation. Most importantly, the sudden throttle heavy input while on freeway at 60-80 to pass people no longer has any oscillation from fuel pump voltage fluctuations. There is no more "wao wao wao wao" of the throttle and rpm when pressing gas hard. Shifts are much smoother also under high throttle. I am testing on xHP stage 3 now and after work today, I will see how she reacts under wot stage 3. I reckon she will still be violent but there will be no more lurching backwards then forwards due to voltage fluctuations of the old ekpm3 unit.

Stay tuned. If this fixes my xHP + PD transmission shifting issues...I will be jumping for joy. And even if it doesn't, I would give this unit two thumbs up for what is has already improved on the car.
I’m still having fuel pressure issues. Did you have to install any backend software to the BPM4 unit?

No. Plug and play. If you have pressure issues, it is most lilely your pump(s). All my pumps were newly installed. Stage 3 precision raceworks.

My single Walbro 450 was installed 4 years / 12,000 miles ago. BPM4 installed on Sunday.

Not sure what is going on here exactly, but you have a throttle closure and a big timing pull which may just be post shift stuff?

Also, you should stop logging timing cyl. 2-6(*CRK) because it is essentially the same value for all six and instead log the cyl1-6 Timing cor (*).

To me, this before shot looks like your pump isn't able to keep up and actually spends more time in the 50's than after the EKP upgrade:

Yep.

Understood. They do change if there’s a timing correction. I save a logging channel this way by not logging cyl1-6 Timing cor (*) and Cyl1 timing. :)

It wasn’t a great pull under ideal conditions, and I’m now a little concerned about the -6 timing for all six cylinders in the middle of my 4th gear pull:

But then again my rail pressure may be higher with the BPM4, which is the real goal, right?
(Not ideal apples to apples comparo, more testing coming.)

EKPM3: In third gear WOT Rail pressure dips as low as 1994 psi:

BPM4:
At around the same rpm range in the 3rd gear WOT pull, my rail pressure does not seem to drop below ~2500psi.

Anymore feedback on these? I sent EOS an email about fuel systems but they never got back to me. Would like to hear more about the top hats melting too

I have dual 525 running on the BPM4. Works great. Biggest issue I had was related to the fuel pressure regulator, a configuration issue on my end completely unrelated to the BPM4. Also had a situation when the battery was dead, the thing didn't want to wake up and prime the pumps. I haven't pinned down the true cause, if it was a voltage issue or we other electrical issue but that was the scope of my problem, basically the only thing that gave me issues.

Do you have the billet top hats? I want to buy a BPM4 but I have concerns as well with melting oem top hats. I would buy the EOS billet top hats to alleviate this concern but they don’t offer them on the website.

Yes. There has also been some improvements to the design to make them easier to install as well.

does the bpm4 play nice if you have a boost referenced full return system? or should I stick with hard wired relay switched pumps?

With the bpm4 you can do away with the boost referenced fuel system as the bpm4 controls the pressures.

The problem with hard wired pumps is they run 100% duty cycle and putting an unnecessary current draw on your electrical system.

Also running them full blast puts unnecessary heat into the fuel, you want to keep fuel cool before it reaches the motor.

EDIT: Thanks your finding and reading my post. Unfortunately, Spoolstreet is no longer a neutral platform where we can have honest discussions on subjects and products freely.
For this reason I have deleted all information I posted on the forums.

Presently I have a 2 pump BPM4 with a single Walbro 450 working fine without issue, but as I type! I am almost done making/installing my custom big turbo set-up so I am now looking to add another fuel pump. After seeing images of melted plastic connectors etc. I would like to upgrade the top hat to eliminate any possible fuel tank leaks and/or fire related issues in order to myself and others safe. I tried e mailing and sent p.m.'s but have gotten no response from EOS concerning this, I just don’t get it! I hate to say it but I think if a vendor is selling a product which is already seen to create an issue which has the potential to morph into something more , they should be obligated to at least respond to queries about providing a possible solution in order to keep their customers safe, what is the point of having all the performance in the world if you risk burning down at any arbitrary time?
