Facebook is utter friggin rubbish for mechanical advice as some of those dead beats have no idea.

But great to grab a bargain occasionally

Planning to Ls swap the 335i or transfer my 1m engine into it and make it a real show pony, haven't decided yet.

I'm leaning towards the Ls swap, open to suggestions.

There is lots of dress up parts and lots of visible bolt ons you can do, the n54 is all hidden, I went as far as any one could with the n54 and I think it's time for something new.

Yeah here is the USA, we have LS's everywhere so they are pretty cheap and you can find endless aftermarket parts for them.
Not sure it's the same for you guys but you might just have to wait on some parts to come in.

We have lots of ls cars here but since gm withdrew from Australia the supply has been drying up and prices have been rising slowly, the other option is a hemi from a srt with a 8 speed but that might be a tight squeeze.

Humm, I have yet to see a Hemi in a BMW.....I like the thought of it.

Picked up the m3 rear end today for Project bumble bee, I have spare axels and a few diff pumpkins laying about.

Slowly gathering all the parts needed.

Still undecided on the transmission, think a nice 8 speed would be good.

Are you going M3 front as well?
i thought that aside from brakes the only advantage of the M3 rear end is the consumables like the bushings and arms ?

The arms, bushes, diff and axels are stronger, its LSD and has a better driveshaft coupling.

It also comes with a bigger sway bar and stronger lighter subframe.

Every part of the rear end is just better.

Yes I've got the front end too left over from my m3 inc brakes.

I got everything from the m3 to change it over.

Pre fitted the hood and aligned the gaps, it looks pretty hot even in black but its off to the painters on Monday to get painted inside and out.

Actually decided not to modify this car, its to nice.

Turned it into a really nice cruiser and put it up for sale.

Started looking towards the future and got my hands on a tesla Model 3 LR performance and will get the plaid when finally hits our shores.
