Hi ther, it looks like I'm a little late to the party but i just stumbled upon this and it all seems very interesting and I would love Access to that hidden thread. I have been working on the older version idrive system for the e65 and also thought about a way to re activate the connected services.

Activity has died out but the information is still there.
I can assure you It's not died, just requires lot of time for reverse firmware, development and completely no sense to share details.

Hi All, me too please, i have a bench setup (cas,key, jbr, cic, screen and controller), i have an icom too, and can telnet/ftp to the test cic (e series).
I have loads of tools, ncsexpert, fstools, ista etc so I can load custom fsc etc.
Ive had good look around and from what ive seen and read the os is an image thats mounted (confirmed here).
I'd like to be able to change the splash screen from the dull bmw one.
Does anyone have any ideas about that? i dont mind doing some testing, asit ist all on the bench...
