hey, kinda late to the party but im dealing with 3 issues that i cant get past.
1. im throwing a shadow (inactive) 2AD0:
No message from transmission control unit,
receiver DME, transmitter EGS / HIM / SMG / DCT. i assume its a coding issue. causes transmission malfunction but transmission is not under any failsafe meaning i can go through all the gears at any rpm i please.
2. when in D sport, my transmission shifts a lot (night and day) faster than when its in S/M sport. any idea why? could this be due to the transmission malfunction im getting?
3. i recieved a INA0S file from my customer tuner but i was unable to flash it onto my DME. any solution?
thanks in advanced. been doing as much research as i could but couldnt find solutions.

Can you provide the description of 2AD0? I dont memorize faults but I do definitions.

hey thanks for reply. all it says is
"No message from transmission control unit,
receiver DME, transmitter EGS / HIM / SMG / DCT"
no insight fault or fault strategies. thats all i really get to work with.

in INPA go to E90>ENGINE>MSD80>Status>Digital>variants>clear>all. then clear codes cycle igntion. This is how you reset variants. The DME will continue to look for items it once captured and will throw codes if that item is now missing.

I think there's a mistake for the transmission ZUSB.
7600042 doesn't exist. The closest I could find was 7640042 which then goes to 7642099 which then goes to 8606092.
Additionally, it appears if you flash to the latest version, CF26 fault gets stored which can be ignored according to BMW.

What are all the fault codes?
CF26:
Message (ZV and lid status) from CAS incorrect, receiver OCT/EGS, transmitter CAS/ACC/DSC
and another code about paddle shifter voltage incorrect (i never got to rewire my paddles so this does not shock me)
and thats it for the transmission.

Does buckling the seatbelt get rid of the malfunction?

I'm in preparation to do this swap from 6AT to DCT Transmission

My Car: 2008 E93 N54 Production Date of 02/06/2008

I have 2 Questions From NCAT initial writeup

1.) DSC Pump (34 51 6 789 308 or 34 51 6 863 356 ) - if you have 2008/09 just skip this part

I have most of everything I need from the swap from a guy

The DSC I have in hand has this part number: 34 51 6 789 303; which differs by 1 digit from 34 51 6 789 308 from the writeup

Per my local BMW Dealer this is what we concluded
"part number 34516789303 is not showing in the supersession. Sadly BMW does not always keep printed part numbers in supersession"

My Question is if the DSC I have ending in 303 came from the same car of the DCT Transmission is it safe to say it will work with the swap ?

The other option is there's one on E bay that has the 2nd part number from the write up for sale : 34 51 6 863 356

I was trying to save some $$$

2.) This part of NCAT's writeup in regards to MSD80 ---> MSD81
My production year again is 02/06/2008 so my car came with MSD80, 1 month short of MSD 81 03/2008 unfortunately
--MSD81 ECU (12 14 7 616 431 ) - if you have 2008/03 just skip this part

Ncat's wording is a bit off

Part4 ( Replacing MSD80 on MSD 81 ) ( if you have 2008/03 > just program it )
Replace you MSD80 on 81.
Very important! you can't use used MSD81 unit. you should buy it new
Program it on Zub 7628542
Do not forget to transfer values about injectors in the new MSD81.

so I have a MSD 81 that I bought "Used" and had Programmed / Transferred / Cloned from my original MSD 80

"Very important! you can't use used MSD81 unit. you should buy it new"

from this part of NCats writeup:

My Question is : I can absolutely NOT USE my "Used" MSD81 that was programmed from my original MSD80 ?

Thanks in advance and Sorry if these question have been posed before or help it helps someone else

1. Based on eBay listings of part number 34516789303, it should work. The cross-compatibility model list on realoem ranges from 328i all the way to 335is.
2. You can use the current MSD81 just fine. You'll just need to flash it with the ZUSB with winkfp.
